The self service part , I did not like. I prefer a face to face service. If I have questions there is no one to ask.

Scott BThe app was very frustrating to use. It was so slow to respond and I had full and strong cell service. I was actually not even able to use it at the beginning of my rental. At the checkout of my rental it took me almost 25 minutes to take all the pictures and answer all the questions, very frustrating.

DENISE WI was not happy with my experience. I originally booked a U-Haul Cargo Van at a closer facility. Once I arrived there & had to call customer service, I was told that this location doesn't offer the 24/7 (which was not what online said). The closest place was approx 10 miles away & I could only have a box truck. I had a deadline of 6pm which I missed the deadline but still needed to show up with a truck & now late. This was not acceptable & totally avoidable if your online information was accurate. Very disappointed

MARK SMy MI (actual mileage) is miscalculated, I used no more than 8 miles, however, my transaction receipt indicates my MI is 50 miles, which is totally wrong. Apart from that, an safe move coverage is imposed onto my receipt, though i never used it, where does it come from, i request U-Hual to recalculate my receipt and actual mount.

ROBERT Ri first booked with budget thinking they would be more cost efficient for me but it turned out to be MORE and a bigger headache to deal with. they wanted $200 more since i was 24 years old and only had 3 protection options for $50, $60, and $70 PER DAY. i ended up canceling that one and switching to the closest u-haul and i am so glad i did. the people were SO much nicer and more helpful. the protection was only $30 and they didn’t charge for my age. i would highly recommend u-haul and especially the carmel welding location for any moving vehicles you need! i could not have been happier with my experience and it made a very very stressful week just a little bit easier! thank you!

REBECCA IHow to call a ridiculous amount of times just to see if I was able to keep the vehicle until the next day and also to confirm if I would be charged more. Finally received a call back but while being on the other line, I was not able to pick up. I called back after and They didn't pick up again. I left a voicemail and never received a call back. You can't even park on site at this location which means you have to park around. The corner price is listed on a poster or not accurate interact charged differently. They did tell me before I signed the contract, but it just goes to show the organization.

Rebecca MNo Parking Poor Lighting Found out that I needed to add App to my phone while picking up the care Found out that I needed to park off-premise while picking up the truck Returned in the evening to poor lighting, had to take multiple photos of the vehicle. Also found out that I needed to sign up for the app elsewhere. Gentleman that checked me in told me that you can't get internet from the lot? App is a workout -multiple photos, no one to receive the truck. Did this in a very dark lot, and then had to work several blocks to retrieve my car. In the winter I would never use this location again. Merci

Michael BTwo days after renting my Uhaul, I received a call from the manager indicating that I wasn't allowed to park my vehicle on their lot and that I needed to move it or it would be towed. They didn't apprise me or the customer in front of me that we weren't allowed to park on their lot. They then told me they would charge me $40/day for parking. I had no ability to come and move the vehicle and they failed to provide any grace. This wasn't part of the contract I signed and, again, I wasn't informed by the rental agent (well, they did include it in a text (that I didn't read). They billed me $120 as a "cleaning fee" through the Uhaul portal, it was really their parking fee. Pretty shitty way to access my credit card for something that I wasn't aware of and didn't sign off on. Again, I picked the vehicle up in person and the rental agent didn't advise me that I needed to park elsewhere. When I spoke with the manager and rental agent by phone, they kept making excuses instead of embracing the feedback on how to improve their customer service by communicating with their customer at the time of pickup. Had they told me I couldn't park there, I would have gladly moved. I rent trucks several times a year and won't make that mistake again. I won't be renting from them.

Elizabeth GRented a 26 foot truck and had to change one of my options during the rental. Cody and Bill went out of their way to add the option for me. Easy to rent, return after hours thru the app was very easy and convenient. Highly recommend Carmel Welding- for U-Haul and other equipment (including that they are a Stihl dealer also).
Ryan LSecond time in a week we did a rental- this time two trucks. Carmel Welding does a great job.
