This was my first time using the U-HAUL service and it was also a very bad experience, I booked a 5*8 trailer, the pickup location is at Saskatoon, but when I picked it up on schedule, they prepared a 6*12 trailer for me and said they had got a free upgrade, I told them my car couldn't pull so big a trailer , I was going to move from Saskatoon to Oakville, It;s very dangerous for me to do that. But the man said impatiently that there was nothing else. ALL my plans had been thrown off. I spent the afternoon calling customer service ,Finally they told me to go to a town 50 kilometers away to pick up a small 4*8 ttailer next day. I can do nothing ,it is the only thing I could do. everything had to be replanned. The next day I drove to the town 50 kilometers away to pick up the small trailer, but found that the connection cable could not connect, I had to go back to Saskatoon to buy convers. It was nearly 2o'clock in the afternoon when I pulled out the trailer. what a terrible bad experience!

Make sure kilometres are reading accurate, because according to my kilometre clocking with other vehicles came to much less than the uhauls.

Train staff to better assist customers. Staff did not attach trailer. Did not inspect trailer with me. Did not ensure trailer was properly attached and secure.

Delisle was great to deal with. Well when someone reserves some thing a week in advance because they need it. It should be there and ready. We booked a 6 x 12 trailer in Saskatoon at 2310 Miller Av a week in advance to move my daughter Fr Saskatoon to Kindersley. We got to the Depo and there was a 6x12 there but was apparently reserved for someone else and all they had to offer was 4x8 trailers. There were no trailers available anywhere in Saskatoon that was big enough. And no Van trucks either. I had to drive to Delisle and pick up the only one there that was a gas guzzling piece of shit that kept over heating on me. The trailer I had reserved would have been $$148.00. The junk truck I was given to use cost me $$438 just for the rental. And then cost me another $$ 300 in fuel. Because it got 6,55 MPG. So it was over 700 it cost. I live 2 hrs SE of Regina and could have brought my own 30 foot enclosed trailer and it would have cost me at most 200 extra in fuel. But I figured hey let's rent a U haul trailer. Well that was a mistake. When someone books something or reserves it in over a week in advance they should get it. What the F-k is the point of the reservations if you're not going to make sure it's there. I'll probably never ever use U haul again and will be sure to spread the word about this terrible experience. I would hope that you guys reimburse me the full rental cost. And part of the fuel it cost me. This has really got me thinking I should start up my own rental business and offer a way better service then U haul and eventually take a vast majority of the work that's out there.

No fault of any staff or person. But the check in and out with regards to website and app is terribly slow....only bad thing about it.

The place itself is fine what I found annoying is that I had to purchase a converter for my car to be able to pull the trailer with brake lights, this cost almost a 3rd of the price of the uhaul.

DO NOT use U-Haul. They were absolutely terrible. I pre-reserved & pre payed for a truck, 2 dolleys, and the two insurances they offer for an almost 4 hour away move. I booked enough time in advance to not run into issues. The day before the move, I got a notification that they changed the pickup time from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Which would put our move back a few hours. I then get see that they changed the pickup location to Deslile (half an hour out of the city) & I asked them to change it back and have it for Saskatoon. When I checked, it said Saskatoon pickup. I went on Moving day & was there for 10:30, for them to tell me that I had to drive to deslile to pick up the truck. So that added an extra hour to our move plus I had to pay more on fuel to go get the damn thing. When I got there, they didn't have the dolleys I payed for. They also wanted me to pay more money, even though I had already planned ahead & payed. But apparently they don't charge for taxes when you pay online *which doesn't specify anywhere* I tried calling U-Haul , and she basically said theres nothing they could do for me. Fast forward to the move - not even an hour in, the power steering fluid started spewing out of the truck. We bought a litre of power steering fluid & put it in the truck. We made one u-turn and it all spewed out again. So, no power steering  we didn't want to call Roadside assistance as it was already late and we didn't want to be stuck on the highway in the dark with my entire home inside the truck. Next the breaks starting squeeling and making a horrendous noise, the "check electric break system" light comes on. Plus a terrible smell of something burning. So it's dark, no power steering, and sketchy breaks. But we can took it slow & made it. 6 hours after our intended time. I went to drop off the uhaul, and the website drop off option didn't work. I had to get the uhaul guy in town to do it for me. I informed him of everything that happened, and he informed his uhaul representative, who never got back to him. I've been trying to leave complaints on the website, call and email regarding this entire experience with absolutely no follow up or replies. Save yourself the headache, money & tears. Don't use uhaul.

The vehicle must of had service to the fuel system prior to us picking it up as the fuel pump housing was not installed correctly and fuel leaked all over the side of tank. Also there was a gouge in the sidewall of the front drivers tire. These two defects are huge safety concerns when driving 1300 km and should of been addressed prior to pick up.

I'd booked the trailer about a week before pickup for pickup in Saskatoon. I was very upset when I got a phone call the day before pickup saying I now had to drive all the way to Delisle just to pick up the trailer. Some compensation for that would have been greatly appreciated, or at least an earlier heads up would have been much nicer.

It was a Hassel to rent thus equipment as I wanted to rent it earlier and then got a phone call to rent a different trailer and had to drive farther to pick it up. This equipment was not reserved as the site told me and had to wait to rent it 2 days before the date tat I needed it.

First of all, when it’s -45 with the wind chill, have the lot shovelled out so I (the customer) don’t have to shovel out a uhaul for an hour and a half while feeezing.

Make it so they can give deposits back right away instead of making the customer wait for a cheque in the mail.

I had excellent support over the phone by the uhaul support person from Wilson's who helped me find a trailer in Delisle but once I got to Delisle to rent the trailer (early so that I could get the paperwork done and get back to the Home Depot), I felt like I was very much in the way as a uhaul renter from the Delisle Esso. There were three workers at the esso and they seemed to prioritize the other customers who arrived after me, with one clerk using the clock as his reason for making me wait. I understand that their esso/pizza/ice cream customers are important but I was also a customer. The clerk looked at the clock and said I was early and he made sure that I did not leave with the trailer from the site one minute early. I felt very unimportant. I felt in the way. I returned the trailer at wilson's about 6 hours later without incident.

They were not very knowledgeable about the services. They insisted that I completely fill the vehicle. They were unaware of the return it in the same state as I received it in. The language barrier was very frustrating. I prepaid for the use of the van for the miles as well as a cash deposit which they kept. Terrible experience dealing with this location
