Friendly staff, I loved that I did not have to park my truck when I returned it, I could just leave it at the receiving canopy. Other locations I've been to I've had to park the truck myself upon return. Would def use this location again.

Paid monthly bill on February 24, 2025. Terminated lease on March 5, 2025. With just over two weeks left on lease they refused to refund balance. They advertised get one month free and never honored that. The 10 x 5 unit was way over priced. Not happy at all with the business part of the company

The predicted rental fee was $82. It came in at over $150mand I only drove about 60 miles. There were all these weird fees-- e.g. a$56 "rental fee" that jacked up the cost.

Great location , easy to drive to, the staff are great, eager to help customers, clean facility , prices are good, Able to rent storage, many vehicles to choose from. Good coverage. Able to drop off the vehicle. after hours, the app makes it easy to book a vehicle and close the rental , the app allow customers to extend the rental .

Trailer wiring doesn't reach van harness. They said they don't give out the extender anymore because people keep stealing them. Worker said I would need to buy an extender that they didn't have on stock. How are they renting trailers when that can't legally be driven off the lot. This should be on the website so I wouldn't have wasted so much time driving to different locations looking for an extender

Yard a bit tight but location is good.. Equipment was clean inside but could have used a wash...Vehicle performed good.. Ease of using app to rent and extend your rental was awesome. Money charged was transparent and posted in a timely manner.

It would help if all of the employees were on the same page. I was told if I didn't open up the packet of blankets I rented that I would receive a refund. However, the manager said that she would not honor her coworker promise.

The yard is kind of tight..When returning rental during office hours was told by an African American female that to get a paper receipt the wait would be close to a hour before someone was able to check out vehicle..She seemed bothered not too helpful.

The mobile app was a total failure. Very slow interface and then ultimately didn't allow me to complete registration. After 30 minutes of trying and being behind schedule, then needed store employee to intervene. Never using that again

Explain the mileage rate more clearly. Not just ask how many miles YOU THINK YOULL DRIVE!!!!! Explain why so you don't get taken advantage of on the cost per mile!!!!

Overall the location & the staff are great. But it was time consuming to complete the check-in at the desk. I'm glad the front desk worker was there to assist b/c not everyone is tech-savvy. While I understand this is all policy & for security measures, there's room for improvements to expedite & simplify the check-in. I'd return to rent at this location.

The truck had a putrid smell like someone was living inside the truck, there was ashes from someone smoking all over the dashboard, it smells like a sweaty disgusting person and every surface was dirty and disgusting. The steering wheel was peeling and sticky and made me feel so disgusting but i didn't not have time to get a new truck as we were pressed for time. Terrible condition.

I have rented trucks from this facility many times over several years, and 2 in the last two weeks. I have to say that the current crew are terrific. Very polite, knowledgeable, very customer friendly. Made everything very easy and pleasant.

No check-in issues. Mgr was very efficient and multitask with other customers and myself at once. No issues with drop-off and receipt with confirmation of return was sent to email on file within 10 minutes of leaving facility. Greeted with a smile from Jose who hitched and unhitched trailer and checked equipment functionality. Would select this location for any future u-haul needs.

Truck was not that clean not to mention it was kept up very poorly. I was hit with a $225 cleaning fan was told that there was sheet rock debris could be possible because there was some furniture in there that had been pushed into a wall nonetheless we swept it clean. I've never had an issue with any other locations and I feel as though this was incorrect. I reached out to the store and text the number that I was told the manager responds to have not heard anything.

The Moving Help that I hired through uHaul was atrocious. They were fine once they showed up. But they wasted an entire days worth of truck rental time. Did not notify me of a change in time until AFTER the originally agreed window was well passed. UHaul needs to vet these companies. I want a half refund on the Moving Help portion.

Samantha Baca was a good manager of this facility, she didnjer best. My biggest issues with this facility is the rat and mouse problem, and insect issues. There should not be any of these in my storage unit or the facility, inlost alot of things. My other issues were communication, 1.) A unit abive my leaked some sort of poison all over my belongings and it took over a month to resolve inwhich i lost very important documents and expensive belongings. 2.) The facility flooded and I was never notified. This created massive molding and more loss of belonging and important items. I am very happy to notnhave to ever be there again and I hope I get compensated for the loss of belongings. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

I'm terrible with names so I forgot it already but the young lady that helped me was great. She was very knowledgeable about your products and facilities, any question I had she answered thoroughly. She fully explained all the rules, and she took the time to show me the unit and the proper ways to enter/exit the facilities. We stored our belongings for many years. We started on the ground floor and moved to the second floor to save a little money. Your employees have all been unfailingly helpful, pleasant, and professional. We would not hesitate to recommend your facility to anyone we know. By the way, we left a pallet behind. We thought about it and realized that you had given us the pallet to use several years ago when there was a leak from pipes so that we could put our boxes above the floor. Thank you so much for all you have done.

I've been a UHaul customer since 2006. The service nd storage facilities were great. What drove me away after 18 years was the 220 % price increase over time.

Since the storage units are not lit inside, it would be nice if we could borrow a battery powered light source from the office while working in the facility.

The only item that I thought was not so great was the fact that the units themselves have to lighting. It made it difficult to find items in the midst of all the chaos of moving and having to box all your belongings. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The staff is excellent and responsive, however the storage facility flooded and my items were damaged by water. Some of the things stored while moving were family heirlooms. Further, everything in the unit was covered in t JJ ick industrial dust. I was falsely told that the unit had a controlled environment. Absolutely disgusting!

I've been a customer for more than 17 since 2005 renting U-Haul at College Point, Queens; moving to Scarsdale and renting at U-Haul Yonkers, NY. I never have any problem at U-Haul College Point, Queens. But U-Haul Saw Mill River Branch has issues two times. Both were customer service representatives "Nasty Attitudes." This is the only reason you lose customer. I hated going back there even when I have automatic payments all these years. Remember that credit cards expire too. Since I do not ever wanted to interact with the "nasty and rude guy" talking to me over the phone, I decided to finally discontinue my storage. I hope you get educated people next time.

Move in is of course nice as I'm a paying customer but the reason I'm moving out is because the staff has attitude and this is not the first time I had encounter a nasty attitude but twice already on the very few times I went to our storage while renting since 2006 from Queens then later transferring to Yonkers area. This facility is amazingly clean compared to the one I saw few minutes before. Staff and the young lady when assisted us was knowledgeable and displayed A1 hospitality! Her suggestion of the upper level was sold and when I saw it, it suits me well and the price was good. I golt service with a smile and left happy... Very happy!!

I currently made my payment and currently closed out, but my fee was not prorated. I should have part of my rental refunded. The day of closing was an inconvenient the gate was not working and U-Haul van were blocking entrance and exits. I had to maneuver around the trucks to unload. Access hours were limited, office is closed I cannot get to my unit, unless someone else is coming out.

The only problem I encountered was that the elevator didn't stop on the level my storage was on and we'd have a to go down a staircase to level 2 to load or unload. There wasn't a slide over the stairs either. That needs to be addressed. But overall a very good facility!!

The cashier gave wrong information but thank goodness the manager corrected the employee. It would have been a disaster if he weren't there. No way could I get my queen size mattress in the top tier with the stair ladder ! The manager who saved the day was Nicolas. Please give him a raise.

The gentleman that helped me was very nice & helpful. The place was clean. The only thing I recommend is fixing the prices you advertise in the store. The sign is 100 dollars cheaper than what I paid. If I was someone else I would have put up a fight to get it for that price. There are no dates etc on the flier. The only downside is that I ask for a unit of the same size that I have already, they said ok, but when my husband went to the storage and started to put our belongings inside the unit, he realized that it was not the same size. It was the same width but not the same height. Because of that less things fit in this one then the one we previously have.

All staff have been unfailingly nice. Costs, options, and everything else were thoroughly explained to me. The storage units are very clean. Entry to the storage area is slightly funky. I like being able to pull my car into the garage area - a big plus. But then the elevator is raised up above the parking area, and you have to overcome ?15 or 20 inches to get your stuff to elevator level. Not a problem for boxes or small items, but big pieces of furniture might present a challenge. A ramp would be great. This is a well-managed facility. Prices are the only reasonable ones in the area - a great deal for such clean and well-monitored storage units. Also, U-Haul boxes are heavy duty AND the company makes it easy to recycle them, giving other customers a chance to re-use boxes. Save money, help the planet. Good company ethic.

I've been with UHaul since 2015 and a loyal customer. Overall the experience was good. Over the past year I've tried to get a smaller storage space on the lower level but no luck. This past flooding from the storm ruined some memorable items. I am currently trying to seek reimbursement from the insurance I've being paying UHaul since I become a tenant. Now that I have vacated I hope to receive what I deserve.

I would like to see a couple of changes: 1. The concrete path to my unit includes a discrepancy in height between one section and another of about 2 inches which produces quite a jolt when moving the cart over it, This could be easily smoothed. 2. Some carts have wobbly wheels which produces a lot of up and down motion with the cart. Both of these things are worrisome when fragile/breakable items are being transported even when they are well packed, especially the jolt in issue #1.

I had a reservation along with a confirmation for a storage unit. I arrived with my loaded truck and was told there was no unit available for me. I went to another facility. Manager was very nonchalant saying it happens all the time.

I needed a storage unit for 3 days. And I rented a truck for two separate days. The staff member told me if I rent truck I get the storage unit free. I told the rep my needs from the onset and she told me the unit should suffice, that people put couches in there no problem. When I went to move my things in to unit, which was up movable stairs, it didn't fit. So I then had no choice but to purchase a larger unit for $145, instead of getting a unit for free. Nothing that the staff did, it is the policy that is the problem. I shouldn't have been limited to just a unit on the upper level, and there should have been something done to accommodate the wrong recommendation of the rep which inconvenienced me and made my experience with U-Haul worse. The fact that I went from paying $0 to $145 left a bad taste in my mouth

Security is ineffective. I was often able to enter the building without scanning my card due to one of the doors being open - the rolling lift door was often open, and the man-door next to it does not close unless it is forcefully closed. I've learned that I can't rely on my fellow customers to actually close the door, so the card check-in "disarm" is a joke. It vaguely gives the illusion of security without actually adding anything secure. The floor is cracked and uneven, and it seems that no part of the entire property (indoors or out) is level. Carts roll away, and moving the rolling staircases over the floor is a struggle - even when the lowest step is lifted, the feet get caught on the uneven floors. The rolling staircases are all faulty - they lean when you're at the top of them, half of them are too short to reach an appropriate level to move things in and out of the upper lockers, none of he safety chains are appropriately installed or useful, and every single one of them is able to roll when the step lock is engaged. The hours are inconvenient - I'm really only able to access it on my days off, and on weekends hours are even more restricted. Of course, if I want to pay more I can have more access. Uhaul loves their nickels and dimes. The main reason I moved to another facility was because Uhaul did not have the appropriate size locker available that I needed, but I will not miss fearing for my life at the top of a rocking staircase that rolls out from underneath me.

Everything was great - just unclear how to keep the rolling door from closing after 3 minutes... It seems you tap the sensor?

I only feel positive about this U-Haul storage facility. I missed it as soon as I walked out the door. But I needed it for the last 8 months because I closed a retail business and had to find a new home for all my belongings, and I was able to work these belongings into my current apartment over these 8 months.

I was lied to on my initial visit to rent a 5x10x8 storage unit to move into the next day. I had asked for a first floor unit, climate controlled area so I can easily and comfortably move my furniture in and out as needed. I was offered the 69,95 monthly promo for a 5x10x8, with free 1st month along with a uhaul cargo van rental. So I get there yesterday morning and find out that the first floor unit is only accessible with a rolling ladder and the area is onlt heated. I was not told this the day before so I didn't search for other options. It was impossible to get any of the furniture up the rolling ladder into the unit and on an extremely hot day a climate controlled area would make the job easier. And my only other option for what I wanted was a bottom unit at 144.95. This was a lie and of course a classic bait and switch. So I cancelled my contract and went right next door to Public Storage and got a real 5x10x8 in a climate controlled area and just wheeled my furniture in, in less than a half hour. 57,95 a month, just no 1st month free. I would never consider uhaul storage again. Thanks for wasting 2 hours of my time on a real hot day.

I was very happy with u-haul I felt it was a safe facility with 24hr protection. The staff was very friendly and courteous who also made my visit that much easier. Parking was adequate. I would return

This facility was not secure and did not require any access card to enter. The door always opened and when it was brought to the managers attention more than once unfortunately she did not resolve it.

It's a very convient location to use and the 24/7 gate key works great for those who is never around to get in the unit during business regular hours.
