The employee that met me was unfriendly and seemed to have a bad attitude. Very short in conversation. Before leaving I asked him if I need to sign anything or he need my name or something. He said no I was good. Got a call next day wanting to know where trailer was. Lady was very polite and apologized. Said she would go verify the trailer was there. She was respectful and curtious.

I arrived early for my reservation, was the only customer in line and it still took 30 minutes to pick up a vehicle that I had reserved several days prior to rental date. The "system" was over-riding my reservation. There is an apparent disconnect between the U-Haul App and the system utilized by employees. The employee was able to finally circumvent the problem and rent me a vehicle. The vehicle wreaked with Marijuana!! Otherwise, UHaul is consistent with the expectation.

Drop off area had sign that said wait here for customer service representative. After ten minutes of waiting walked into the office to find the employee sitting there on his phone. Finally put down his phone and started checking in the trailer. The only thing he said to me was what is your name and do you want a recipe? I said no he said put the trailer next to the other trailer then went back to playing on his phone. Horrible customer service.

Check your closed rental trailers for water leaks. The person helping us was more than gracious however when we arrived at our destination our mattress was wet.

The trailer had a vibration at speeds between 50 and 62, felt like a wheel out of balance. Not terrible, but it was definitely there. Otherwise, pulled very nicely.

I just want to say that the ramp on the 5'x8' trailer was a godsend! It would have been too hard for me to step up into that trailer while maneuvering the furniture I was putting in it. Thank you so very much for the ramp!!!!

The managers here lied and pretended to take out my payment but did not so that they could put a lien on my storage. They sent me late fees statement in my email 3 days before my bill was even due. When I called to bring this to their attention, they pretended to fix the mistake and did not even take out my payment and left it unpaid after I gave them my credit card number. I called back to address the issue and the manager lied and said my storage went up to two different amounts within a minute he changed his prices. Finally he gave in and told me I could get my stuff and he would unlock it but it was still locked. I also think they changed my lock and put a different one on it. They overcharge, lie, manipulate and try their best to seize your property with fraud. This place is a den of thieves.

The local owner operators at this location were particularly helpful in connecting me to someone who helped me physically move things in and figure out getting my stuff out in time ahead of another month's charge amid storm threat. The only frustration I had was around the *corporate* side of the things and not having flexibility around a couple things that would have been much better had the owner/managers would have had more control over the systems.

I rented a two wheel dolly from this place a gentleman put it on my truck. He never checked to see if the lights work or if it was even on my truck correctly I got pulled over in Georgia got a ticket for no tail lights and unsafe vehicle I do not recommend going here

Make sure the employees know to check the hitch and inspect the overall equipment function of it before they clear it for use. The guy that hooked mine up did not. It came off and could have been a disaster.

The van looked clean but had a well hidden oil spilled along the back. They were not aware but I am certain they cleaned it up upon my return. There weee some issues with billing but they worked that out as well.i have used two separate U-Haul facilities and have been very satisfied with both! I really like the van. Only issue- difficult for an old woman to keep stepping up and down but I am sure you all do the only thing you can - offer excellent customer service!

Recommendation if the location is hard to answer. Picking up the trailer was good-the gentleman was nice and upgraded us because the trailer we rented wasn't on-site. Dropping off the trailer-well that was totally different. My husband and I have never been efficient at backing up a trailer and we were honest about this from the start. When we dropped off the trailer we went to the return location, only to be told we had to move it to the trailer section and then we were told to "back it up"....nope, not going to do that. We purposefully told you all that we don't back up a trailer-literally for the 24 hours we had the trailer we pulled down our road and back to pull in front of our house and then pulled thru my mother's front yard TWICE to avoid backing up. The young man gasped and was seemingly appalled that he was going to need to work a little while he had this HUGE wad of tobacco in his mouth...and if it wasn't tobacco it was still as unprofessional because he couldn't speak clearly. This is the first time in years I have used UHaul and this experience reminded me why....the lack of professionalism.

This trailer was unjustafiably expensive at $699 plus tax and fees. This was a one way trip from Orlando to Chattanooga, I had the trailer for 2 days. I booked this weeks in advance. I had no choice but to pay this because I had to have a trailer. I thought the high price might have been due to a shortage of trailers and high demand, but the pick up location had a huge glut of trailers and couldn't explain the high price.

The gentleman that was outside checking me in was VERY VERY helpful. The employee inside just told me to move my truck and trailer. I informed him I could not back it up. I went outside and the gentleman with lots of tattoos stated he would be glad to move it for me. He was very kind. Thank you.

I generally only rent a truck from this UHaul location once a year for an annual race that raises money for charitable foundation. I have always had great experience at this UHaul location. The trucks work well and the employees are great.

Have one problem 100 hold on my card original charge was 89 dollars a d some change. Entire 100 still charged. Gas was replaced and back within time... what was the additional charge?

1. I reserved a furniture dolly with my truck rental but, when I arrived to pick up the truck, was told that they had no furniture dollies available. 2. The contract paperwork said the truck had 1/2 tank of gas. When I first started it, the gage read 5/16 (just above 1/4). The office assured me that this would not be a problem as long as I documented the as-found gas gage reading, which I did. I returned it with the gage reading just above 3/8 (i.e. higher than the as-found reading). When I received the rental receipt, I was charged the refueling penalty for returning it below 1/2 tank. It took a phone call to the U-haul customer service to resolve this and receive a refund.

The GM David Thomas went above and beyond to help me out and understand the situation I was in with emptying out my unit. I appreciate how the situation was handled by him! At times, the associates could have been more helpful and have less attitude but overall the experience went well over the last 4 years I rented at the Hixson Pike location in Chattanooga, TN.

There are so many things that confused me about this whole process. The storage space rented was extremely small and I had to wait to get my unit opened while I was on a short schedule with the moving truck. The lines were out the door each time I went and the staff was visible stressed but friendly.

The owner and the staff were very accommodating. With the going back and forth emptying our Uhaul truck into the storage unit, I was suffering from heat exhaustion. They let me sit by the fan in the office and few snacks as well . Afterwards I felt a lot better. I would recommend this location to everyone.

I had a reservation for the Broad Street location in Chattanooga, Tennessee since February 2, 2024. The UHAul in Fayetteville NC 702-523-4706 confirm that they had a storage unit for me. When I get into town the Broad Street location in Chattanooga, Tennessee told me that they didn't have anything for me, that they haven't had any available storage for several months and told me that I needed to look for something else. They told me to call the Hixson location. The Broad Street location was very convenient for me because I was moving off of Broad Street and the Hixson location was way out of my way. The Hixson location was very nice and took care of me.

I had to pay a full months rent on two units even though I only used the units for a partial month. You are able to collect double rent if someone rents the units I rented, I believe you should reconsider and change your policy and allow partial month rent. The same thing happened with two units in a U-Haul facility in Knoxville, TN.

Starting with David Thomas assisting me in getting a storage unit to the 10' van. Then with Anthony Scott Ledford making the reservation for the 10' and storage unit. Miranda Harrison checking the storage units with me. Then doing all the paperwork for the 10' van and storage unit. They went beyond what I expected, they bent over backwards to take care of me and my needs, all the way to tape and gloves. They were the very best examples of U-Haul employees I have ever seen. If all employees were like these three the world would be a better place.

Approximately a year ago, the employees at the time, verbally admitted to letting a prior employee who had fallen on hard times live in one of the storage units. The person living in storage burglarized multiple units (including mine) by climbing over the wall on the top floor. She stole every tool I owned, which took years to acquire. The employees denied any wrong doing when the police became involved.

I have rented several times lately from Uhaul and there is a common thread in every transaction. The staff complain openly about their jobs to customers. The training level of the staff is inconsistent. My most recent interaction in Chattanooga on Hixon Pike I met Anthony. I must say at this location he is the only one with sufficient knowledge to get you in and out but has absolutely no customer service skills. It appears that his dog died many years ago and he's never gotten over it.

I was told by uhaul customer service that I could have the storage 1 month free with my one way van rental. Hixson pike office in Chattanooga told me that wasn't true. This was upsetting since everyone I've spoke to with regards of uhaul has given different & wrong info. He did finally give me the 1st month free. When I returned the van to Ringgold rd in Chattanooga that person agreed with me and said he gave me the wrong info. Some people need better training.

Under staffed or staff clueless. Anytime request made, it took way too long for staff to help with what was requested…keeping door open when loading/unloading so didn't have to keep entering code; closing out accounts; billing issues…all seemed too hard for staff to do. Rat turds upon clean out when not in my stuff…so those little black boxes obviously just for show. Unit was secure except top open if someone wanted to access unit. Just an unfriendly place that was an unpleasant experience unless just doing something in unit itself. Will NOT recommend to even my enemy!

My experience was frustrating as I made a reservation a couple weeks prior to moving but then, on moving day, after driving 10,5 hours from D.C., when I called to confirm the reservation I was told there was no space available. I went to other U Haul locations around Chattanooga to try and find storage but all were full. I ended up going to this location to see if something could be worked out. Upon arrival, I spent 15 minutes waiting for someone to show up at the desk and when they did they had headphones on, spoke shortly to me, and gave an overall rude reception. I explained the situation and they repeated the same story I heard on the phone. I insisted that there must be some space because another U Haul location (Broad Street) had reported that this location (Hixon) was only at 90 % capacity. The individual then had us walk through the entire first floor of the storage facility where there were, indeed, available storage units. I guess they had just been unwilling to get up and look themselves before. Despite the situation being "technically" resolved, I was very disappointed in the lack of customer care and professionalism that was demonstrated and unfortunately, my perception of U Haul has diminished after this experience.

Very helpful and friendly staff. The grounds and inside storage facility are kept very clean. Even the public restroom was tidy and stocked!! The coded electronic doors give added security. I felt my belongings were safe. My experience with this Uhaul location was GREAT and I highly recommend for short or long term storage!

Rented a storage room, only a single door to get furniture through. Big crate blocking part of the door. Was told "you can't move that crate, but we did. In their defense, it seemed they had very little help. Just not to the level of service and friendliness that I am used to with U-haul.

When i rented my storage unit, i was pleased that it had 24hr access. 2 weeks after i rented the unit i showed up to a big sign on the door saying this facility is no longer 24hr access. I said wow i didnt get any kinda notice or warning. And also, with the shortage of trucks on the weekend, i couldnt get a reservation until 5:15pm and i had to move a little the same day and the rest the next day. All of this occured because of the facility closing at 7th. When asked why the facility changed hours, they're only response was because people dont know how to act. Didnt really understand that but i dont feel i should've had to suffer because of someone's urge to break the law.

The staff were great; the only issue we had was that stuff was taken from our storage unit and we found out it was a problem and no longer 24 hours because of that. Not to big of a deal because the Chattanooga location is amazing and always helpful! The drop off for our truck was in Athens Ga and that was terrible. The curly headed girl behind the counter had no clue what was going on. She told us to park the truck under the green tent and give her the keys. I asked several time if that's all that needed to be done she said yes. We dropped of the truck on Sunday at 4:45. A day early. I was called literally 5 times since Monday people asking where the truck was. I explained that we dropped it off Sunday and everything, my husband also had a conversation with someone as well. I will never use the U-Haul in Athens again. They have no clue what they are doing.

I rented an 8x8x8 on the second floor for $84,95/mo. When I arrived I was informed there was no elevator, only stairs and I had heavy items. Nothing in the rental process indicated a lack of elevator service at the facility. The staff found a storage unit on the first floor that was 12 x 8 x 8 and I was quoted a price of $104,95/month. I agreed and when accessing the location, the ceiling was barely 6' high, not the 8' advertised. Ok, and when I checked out, I noticed a sign advertising that size locker at a rate of 124,95 and when she rang it up, it came up as 129,95/mo. When I asked the question about the difference in what she quoted, the sign, and the computer she yelled at me for asking the question and threatened to cancel my reservation. I explained that, as a customer, there were three conflicting amounts and all I did was ask a question. She then said, "that's what the computer is printing out, I can't do anything about that. Overall a very negative experience.

I had 2 units from March, 2020 to January 2021 when I moved out of the large unit I kept the smaller unit until mid August 2021. Every employee whom I met during this time was always very helpful & courteous. The facility was always orderly & free of bugs. I rented a truck to bring my furniture from SC to Tennessee & was pleased with the truck. I highly recommend U-Haul to anyone who needs their services.

Unfriendly, not helpful, SMALL storage area. Dirty storage. I complained about this and was told they were goin to resolve the issue and call me within 72 hrs. That did not happen. I feel uhaul owes me 144.94. The unit I reserved was not 12x10x12 I was told to go somewhere else. So I did. I used uhaul mainly because they offered me one month free.

This is my first experience using U-Haul truck and storage rental and I have been very pleased with everyone with whom I have spoken. When we arrived at the storage unit the reservation that I had made in advance was not on their computer even tho I had printed the paper showing the reservation number and date. Thankfully, there were storage units available but if there were none available that would have been a huge problem because I had a Bellhops crew there to unload the truck and put everything in storage.

The prices are way to high. All places I checked were lower and uhaul you have to walk up the stairs to store your things or take a first flower unit and constantly bump your head on rafters and door.

Was surprised to have paid for entire January and moved out the 24th with no reimbursement. Staff acted like they didn't care. That it was just "too bad".

I had a wonderful experience with renting a van from the Broad Street U-Haul in Chattanooga, TN and returning the van to the N. Causeway U-Haul in Metairie, LA.

Didn't get the storage space, facility for storing my boat was unacceptable. No service, person didn't know how to check in a new customer for boat storage. Manager not available, terrible service
