Waited in lobby for 1 hour to get my trailer. Waited 30 minutes to return it. Received voicemail it wasn't returned Waited on hold for 30 minutes on the 4th of July. Finally got a hold of corporate. They couldn't get a hold of facility. Received this review request... company is a fucking joke. Will never do bussiness with again.

Terry was rude and impatient and unfortunately this is not new. Has acted like this to multiple customers on multiple occasions. Was difficult to get in and out for pickup as there were U-Haul trucks and trailers scattered everywhere.

Customer service was foul. I requested this u-haul months ago and they completely messed up my pick up time. I requested to change it and they seemed pretty unhappy with my request. They kept telling me this was a very busy moving weekend which I didn't doubt. However, I reserved my truck well in advance. Being in the moving industry, they should understand that moving is time sensitive.

I had my reservation cancelled 2 times in a few weeks. This as very nerve wracking when try to coordinate an apartment move with strict deadlines. This location also could have used another person in the store to help with all the people picking up or checking out. On a college move weekend this was very disappointing as well.

First time I needed to rent a Trailer in over 25 years.. As time go's so does the Tech and time spent at any Rental place.. It was fast very Busy on a Saturday was about 30 min early and was 5 people behind in line but was out in about 15 min. Very happy this time last time was not so good at a rental place.. Overall everything was great. The o ly thing i was disappointed in was that you do not pro rate early move out of a unit. Which means you double dip. If I paid for the whole month but did not need it for the whole month I get nothing back. That is just strange. So you can than turn around and rent it out again and get more money on top of what I paid. That I believe is again the law. I will be checking into such thing with the BBB.

The GM was rude and put off by having to be busy. The audible sighs and hugging and puffing and overall demeanor was off putting. I will utilize a different location in the future if I need a U-Haul.

This location is kind of hidden, if the U Haul sign was taller and you could see it from the road it would be easier to find. Also, the road leading to the place is difficult to see. Other than that, it's was great.

The guy helping was awesome and did his job exceptional. The problem is he was the only one and being that it was umd graduation it was really busy. If there was just one more person behind the counter it would of went three times faster. Some people were getting impatience and I was too just because I had to load and a long drive ahead. The large dually utility trailer entry is about 1 foot narrower than the inside of the trailer. And so, my equipment did not fit and it was a bust.

Very good trailer. An improvement for U-Haul's open trailers in general would be additional tie-down loops welded to the outside margins -- helpful for tying town tarp coverings and what-not. Thank you, Jon Hinkel

They generously accommodated us in everything we needed including shorter access times for our boxes, and installing a different sized tow ball on a pickup we rented to accommodate a different size on our trailer. Their call centers were very pleasant, patient, and knowledgeable, but I don't text, so had a harder time. I would have to change things and ultimately things would get confusing for me. Liked being able to talk to our local store to make sure things were set up right. Thank you to everyone who helped us along the way. The UBoxes seem to work better with stacking boxes, so couldn't get as much in as we thought we could.

There was graffiti on truck and the location had tried to remove but wouldn't come off. No swear words on truck so all good!

was told they Arrived and the first one was ready it was not and had to sit and wait till loaded , picked up 2nd one said it was ready ,got home it was loaded backwards had to go back unhook wait till it was reloaded, when I return and was going to unhook it myself i realized it could have came off thank god it didn't work the nut that screws down and holds it on the ball wasn't even tightened scarie. u haul will only be my last resort from now on payed a lot of money for bad services

My cross-country move went very well, thanks to U-haul. I needed three U-boxes moved from Santa Clara, CA to Duluth, MN. The staff was courteous and helpful at every stage of the journey and in every location. The scheduling, pick-up, and reservation system worked extremely well, and I always felt I knew what was going on. They had great support via chat and the call center. I had enough room for everything I needed and plenty of furniture pads. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone considering a similar move.

My trailer rental was a lousy experience this time: 1) I don't keep my cell phone taped to the side of my head, so I didn't hear the text coming in regarding the "Before you go: Please verify the license plate..." message until I got home 15 minutes later. And, by then, I couldn't respond because it had timed-out. 2) There is no tongue jack on the trailer. Luckily, I had blocks of wood to keep the tongue elevated while disconnected from my truck during loading. 3) The tail of the trailer drops to the pavement when stepping in during loading. Luckily, I had a few more blocks of wood to keep the ass end of the trailer supported. 4) Because there is no tongue jack, I had a bitch of a time elevating the tongue to reconnect to my truck after loading. Luckily, I had a bottle jack, and a few more blocks of wood. But, unluckily, my jack was small, and it took many repeats of the jacking and blocking, to incrementally coax the tongue to height. 5) The tongue's coupler was extremely difficult to get to drop into place atop the ball. The coupler's handwheel was fully loosened, and the ball was juggled to and fro, yet it took much continued farting around before it finally dropped into place. 6) During my before-hours drop-off of the trailer (to avoid an extra day-charge), I followed the After-Hours Drop-Off instructions, but the U-Haul Web page couldn't read my location even though my phone's "Share My Location" was ON. I stood in the U-Haul's return lot way too long trying to document my on-time return. If there's any doubt as to my return time, take a look at your security camera footage, and you see a tall, white-haired guy jabbing in lengthy pointlessness at his phone.

Returned trailer on time but was not clocked in system until receiving notice next day from 'Uhaul recovery' saying it hasn't been returned yet. I had to stop by again to verify it was already returned. I was told not to worry. Later the following day I got receipt through email. Second time this happened to me from past. It's mainly trust issue that burden customer's confidence assurance.

Reason for this rental on the 6th was due to my prior rental for the same truck in Cotton, MN was a failure due to a dead battery on the truck. I lost a full day due to the inconvenience.

Did an after hours return, used the app. Did not interact with any personnel. Well lit, and easy to take photos for mobile return.

I was charged for missing equipment the called the center and had no answer so I went up tot he center to find the guy thought I rented 2X dollys. I don't know why? The one I asked to rent was still there and in place. Frustrating I had to drive up there to find this out. The guy that I talked to then called me back and said I was not charged for the $200 and I explained that no I wasn't because went up there and complained about the issue. He said it was an honest mistake. Sure it was but I had to pay for your mistake and it was frustrating and I had to go out of my way to defend my case. I didn't steal the dolly. Didn't even apologize!

The staff member who assigned my storage unit was very friendly, helpful and kind. The actual unit was up a steep, wooden staircase that didn't have anti-slip treads. I fell down the staircase and injured myself. There is no elevator to the second story, so the stairs are the only way up or down. Unless you are storing a bunch of light items, the second story is nearly impossible to use. I would not recommend.

Quick and easy. The unit is smaller then I hoped for. Do to my disability I can't do stairs. The larger rooms are on the 2nd floor as was told to me. So far very happy with my experience with U-hall! Terrie

My unit was indoors and filled with mice. I had my unit for 8 months and when I moved out all my boxes, Rubbermaid's and stuff were filled with mice droppings. The unit itself was disgusting and filled with mouse poop so much everywhere.

The attendants in the office were always friendly and helpful. The facility felt safe to be at. We would use this storage place again and recommend it to others.

The employee showed us all of our options and even showed us what a self storage unit would look like. He invited us to go take a look at the available indoor unit. Lastly, because there were no outdoor units available, he checked at the superior branch for any available units for us. He went the extra step in customer service for us, and we are appreciative.

I actually rented this for my friend. When they had moved out I was not informed. Roger had noticed that there was no lock on the unit and called me to follow-up. He was able to move me out over the phone and tidy up the unit for me. I have moved all over this country and this is rare. This was a 30 days for free unit and I appreciate the above board customer service. I would not think twice about renting here again.

Good experience with my storage. The unit could be cleaner/more updated -- some ladybugs got into my stuff. No big deal, I just hope other bugs didn't. I kept having to buy a specific lock that they require for the unit as well, which kept breaking! I wish we could use other lock types. Staff was great, the manager is really nice as well. If you need affordable storage, go here. Not perfect, but definitely a great option.

Sarah was especially helpful at move-in. Ritchie was very helpful in setting up my move-in a week earlier. Overall, move-in was a great experience. Access signage from HWY 53 needs to be improved for the 1st time customer. Trees block the U-Haul building sign from the highway. The actual small entrance is unmarked and easy to miss. We found it on our second lap of the area. Once you know where it is, it's easy. Not the fault of the staff. They were great. Tom..... .

Sarah Hudrick at the Duluth, MN location (actually in Hermantown, MN) is stellar! She's savvy about people's moving and storage needs and is also very efficient in processing whatever is required for your rental, be it equipment or storage space. Also: I never had to wait for someone to help me in the "store," If the right person wasn't on the spot, whoever was there would call for a person to come in and help a customer. Very satisfied customer.

I went to 3 uhauls and drove 40 miles tonight and spent 5 hours in a parking lot or driving back and forth in two states trying to pick up a reserved rental I was finally connected to a gal who gave me $50 reembursment but I only get it went collecting the rental so I'm sure it's no good now I have up and went home having my mother who is 75 come at 6:0 am to get to uhaul before they open and be first in line after being on hold listening to the same 15 words for over an hour and finally hanging up 3 driver's licenses woke up my daughter to verify cause me and my driver already had and they took until 1:30 to call her and she fell back to sleep on third attempt after being sent to the darkest rural far away secluded parking lot of a salon from a ghost town with the open sign eerily left on by mistake not a uhaul sign to save your soul feeling like the abandoned uhaul was full of man that were gonna jump out and kidnap me for sure I threw in the towel and drove home swearing and complaining and trying to scramble a plan together and talking with my bible when I ly down I have calmed down enough to appreciate the attempts made by one gall with the 50 reimbursement but after 4 failed reservations I'm not to confident to ever attempt after hour pickup ever again. I was served a 24 hour to vacate today that I didn't see until 3 and they taped it to my door at 11 4 hours stolen and then 5 hours with you horribly flawed online system and I'm so frustrated I saw a notification to rate y'all and had to and I have not even complained about everything and I won't but trust me there's more. And I'm praying someone can help me at 7 for my 4 hours to vacate thanks for helping steel my storage unit I couldn't get to to put a lock on when it's empty I understand but maybe think about changing policy cause you gave away my storage unit that was to be mine until the 5th of august and now I have no where to put my things I don't drive and haven't had a ride and was just left a voice mail saying you gave it away and I overlooked it until now and I'm homeless in 7 hours give or take and you basically cost me everything I own to homeless scavengers that I'll be living with now so I guess at least they will like your performance but help from others and found none and it's really been eye opening thanks be to God for the adventure good night me your just on a list of disappointing events where I needed

When we were struggling to maneuver a couch, staff stated "I don't know what to tell you" rather than giving any helpful tips/tricks to a first time mover. The staircases are so steep as well! 2nd floor storage units are a cruel invention, but I am thankful I am able to store my stuff while I wait for housing!

A lot of times when I would go to my shed the walkway on the side of the building used for transferring items from your vehicle to your shed it would be unshoveled and unsalted. Usually a little walkway shoveled along the building but then a snowbank so you cant even get the cart out. There was only one time this winter I had gone and it was cleaned up.

Not enough staff. Every time I needed assistance it was a VERY long wait at the counter because according to the multiple staff members I talked to there was only one person working. I placed a call to uhual and it went to someone with a southern accent that didn't even work at the actual store! I think the solution is to just hire more people to actually work on site. If you cant find enough people to work then continue to increase wages until you get more people to work ON LOCATION! Lastly, Hours were not nearly long enough, I would expect hours to last until at least 10PM.

Storage Door falling apart. Very hard to lock. MICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Huge problem a trap in the unit did nothing. That's why we moved out. We didn't want anymore mouse poop on our things or potential destruction of our property. The 5 000 of extra coverage we purchased each month would not cover all our belongings being destroyed by mice!!

I rented a drive up storage facility and when I got there to purchase my lock I was told that the storage unit i rented was not available, apparently it was double booked. So I had to get a smaller storage unit on the second floor. I was not happy since all of my stuff did not fit in the smaller storage unit. I was told I would get a partial refund for the mix up. Well lets just say $6 is NOT a partial refund for YOUR mess up!!

The data system went down for more than 24hrs which impeded our move but the staff on site and over the phone were excellent and sympathetic to our struggle to get our things into the storage unit. Eric (Rep on site) was a outstanding & showed excellent customer service to us :) Will highly recommend U-Haul to friends and family going forward.

When I made this reservation I asked if there was an elevator and she said there was… But when I went in to confirm the reservation I could not find the elevator… Because there was no elevator🤔

Overall good experience. A little pricey -- $75 for one week of storage. I did like that they didn't try to sell me all sorts of packing and storage items. Also, I answered that I wouldn't recommend the facility for this reason: I don't feel like it's my job to be your unpaid marketing intern.

I was displeased with my move in experience. This location was short staffed. I had to wait 40 minutes to be helped because only one person was working who could help me. The one other person working there could only do truck rentals, not storage. 40 minutes is a ridiculously long time to wait for something as simple as checking in to a storage unit.

Mice and mold, mainly the mold is what upset me. I paid thousands of dollars over the course of my stay to keep my stuff just to have to throw the majority of it out at the end due to mold damage.
