Maribel LAfter renting the truck, they sent me to an entirely different location, Humboldt Park, to pick up the truck. The other location was in one of Chicago's worst neighborhoods and the truck was parked in an alley near a gas station. So here I am, on moving day, looking for a truck in a high crime neighborhood, in an alley. Plus, since movers are paid by the hour, time is money. Round trip, with Chicago traffic, this added an extra hour to my moving bill which meant that I paid my movers an extra hour and we nearly didn't finish moving out during the reserved elevator appointment. Finally, while very minor expense but very unfair business practice, UHaul included the additoonal miles from Humboldt Park in my final miles driven tally. And there was a scratch on the side of the truck which I was not able to report during the rental process because the truck wasn't at the location where the rental process took place. Time will tell, but I pray that UHaul doesn't charge me for that.
MANDY LThe fuel tank was below empty when I received the truck. The drivers side mirror was broken and would not stay in place which made it a safety hazard. None of the reservation information was transmitted to the store and I had to basically reapply.
