You should allow the customer to scan in their drivers license as part of the reservation process. Doing it when you are there to get the equipment is not always easy. It took me a couple of attempts to get a decent picture because I was doing it in my car, early in the morning with very little ambient light. Not to mention that if I touched the screen in the wrong way it messed up the browser and I had to go back in. Doing the selfie at that time was no problem but being able to scan my drivers license when I was reserving it would have saved me lots of time and hassle.Jeffrey S.

I rented a 6x12 trailer w/ ramp, nearly brand new, and I had to travel a lot with it. I loaded it with a motorcycle and it has been very stable with the double axle. I'd recommend it to anyone.Gilles B.

I got into the drivers seat of the truck and put the arm rest down and it was full of blood ( which I have pics of ) with this pandemic going on this kind of stuff is unexceptable and then to not even compensate me for it just shows that uhaul is not up to standardsJames F.
Though the location was conveniently located off of a very busy and major street AND also right next to the railroad tracks, overall it felt and looked like an abandoned garage that had not been used in since Nixon was president. The building and lot itself looked as if it was on a movie set of a horror/western movie. It was old, dusty and had old machinery that was unrelated to U-Haul vehicles on the lot. There were also strange men loading items from a dumpster that kept driving by us. The lot itself was all dirt/gravel. It could/should have looked better that it did. Again, it was clear that there were U-Haul vehicles there. However the building and lot they were on is severely run down and makeshift . If it had happened to later in the evening to pick up, it would be very unsafe. The literally â€œeye level camerasâ€ were of no comfort. I mean eye and in your face. Alas, what I needed was there and that's all I cared about. Be sure to go in the daylight and don't wear shoes that you don't want to get dusty. My review sounds harsh yet I still would recommend it only because it's conveniently located. That said, the building and lot shouldn't look a like a dilapidated and vacant shack. It was very off putting and made me feel like â€œOMG this is going to be a hot messâ€ as I was pulling into the lot.Tim R.

There was no way to get to the trucks without getting your feet soaked. The gravel/dirt driveway and parking area was covered with several inches of water/slush. Not sure there is anything you could do short of refinishing the entire area, but it was not a good way to start or end the day with wet/cold feet. The owner was nice and acknowledged it was a mess.Mike D.
I cannot say enough about the great way i was treated and it was an awesome experience. The man running this store was polite , knew his stuff and was a joy to talk to! the equipment was perfect and did what i needed! thank you so much for having Area storage as a UHaul dealer.John G.
First of all, I am thankful I could use the app to get my truck as no one was at this location. BUT the app was the problem most of all. It kept stopping at critical points. When asked what the current mileage was - I updated the field AND uploaded a picture...The app said cannot update mileage and stopped my progress. I then called and told the operator what the ACTUAL mileage was - she said she wrote it in my rental file. When I returned the truck it said my bill would be over $14,000 it isnt even physically possible to drive that many miles in 10 hours! I uploaded both the beginning mileage and the ending mileage pictures but i STILL called to verify that I wasnt getting charged $14,000+ and they asked for the mileage pictures AGAIN! thankfully i still had them so it worked out BUT, it can be alot smoother. Maybe make a video call part of the pickup? the app itself is a great start but surprisingly nerve wracking.tim S.

The vehicle cab was a bit dirty, and there was a missing light cover on the rear of the truck. The equipment we requested and paid for was not in the truck cargo area. The facility itself was not open, so we could not get the items needed to do our furniture moving. We called U Haul customer service and reported the problems, but had to go through the process of returning the vehicle and paying the bill. I wasted two hours out of my very precious business day, and now have to reschedule my day tomorrow to do this project again.John D.
