We are very disappointed with our Uhaul experience. Our pick up time was at 6:30 AM on a Sunday for a 26' truck. We spoke to an employee on the phone who completed our reservation for us more than 2 weeks before the reservation date. I received a confirmation text the day before that our truck was set to be picked up at 6:30 AM. I never received a phone call from uhaul that they said would happen the day prior to reservation. We arrived at uhaul on Sunday at 6:30 AM. Due to an employee not calling me the night before, I needed to add additional information and did not have a passport on me or anyone awake to call for the secondary contact. We called customer service and were on hold for 22 minutes (which I get that part- they are busy!!) Elizabeth O'Brien was AMAZING on the phone and helped us so much. She figured out that no truck was available for self pick up where we were scheduled and spent over 30 minutes finding a new location for us. She eventually found a location about 15 miles away where we drove to get the UHAUL truck. She was so patient and helpful on the phone, and we greatly appreciate her. It is extremely frustrating to make a specific reservation, be told that everything is set up, and then we were delayed over 1,5 hours. We have used UHAUL in the past, but I am extremely hesitant to use this company in the future.
