  • Unfortunately, my moving experience was disappointing. The mover had a strong smell that reminded me of alcohol from the night before, which made me uncomfortable. I don’t want to make assumptions about his condition, but I was concerned by how carelessly my belongings were handled. Some items were dropped, and my furniture was loaded improperly into the U-Haul truck. As a result, multiple parts of my bed were damaged, with numerous visible scratches and long scuff marks, including on almost all of the faux leather storage drawers. This damage occurred during loading by exact this helper which happened right in front of me not simply during transportation. I understand that I could have protected my furniture better, and I take responsibility for that. However, I still expected my belongings to be handled with reasonable care. I appreciate that the mover offered to stay longer, but discovering the extent of the damage was genuinely upsetting
