  • Booked 2 hrs loading & unloading via U-Haul Moving Helpers & Top-G Moving; both addresses (10km apart) given at booking, a small 1BR move, 13 furniture pieces, about 50 med. boxes. On arrival, movers said they only do loading in 2 hrs; unloading was not possible, despite this being booked. Both carried one box at a time despite 2 dollies available. Started 15 min late, finished loading 40 min early, yet charged the full 2-hr minimum. They offered to meet at the unload site less than two hours later - but only for a SECOND 2-hr minimum via e-transfer (not U-Haul site). Pressured, we agreed, then reconsidered and canceled by text. The contact thanked us for canceling ahead, suggesting this arrive, refuse, unload scheme is a repeated tactic to double-bill customers. Communication was email-only; a time change never appeared on U-Haul site, and their phone had no working voicemail. Shady practices, poor service. I would not recommend Top-G Moving, and am hesitant to use U-Haul again.
