I'm renting a 4x8 enclosed trailer and want to buy a lock for the latch lock to prevent theft of the trailer from the hitch. What diameter is the latch hole on this trailer? Uhaul sells various diameter sized latch locks.
The U-Haul trailer is not equipped with a lockable coupler. To help deter theft, it is always recommended to park in well lit areas and position the trailer in between the towing vehicle and a parking curb or immovable object. Here are some other tips on how to deter theft while towing a U-Haul trailer.

Bought U-Haul coupler lock product #13003 and would like to get extra keys. Is there any way to do that with the key number?
I asked the buyer of this product to check with the vendor. I am sorry to report there is no way for us to obtain extra keys even if we have the number on the key. Thanks.

• Lock the ball mount to your receiver hitch using the dual bent pin lock part 74507
• Lock the safety chains using the U-Haul maximum security lock part 33510
• Lock the cargo door using the U-Haul maximum security lock part 33510
