I see it can be filled at any U-Haul center that carries propane. Can it be filled at a non-U-Haul propane refill center?

-Andy 2/8/2024 9h28m43 am

Hi Andy! These can be filled wherever you prefer. Have a great day!

-Kristy 5/8/2024 10h53m13 am

Do you fill the 100 lb tanks at u haul or do you swap out tanks

If I have a full 100 gallon tank and I use it moderately throughout the day in my camper trailer for heat and/or hot water, can you give me a rough estimate on the amount of time it will last??

-Beau C. 23/2/2023 9h53m00 pm

Hello Beau. I do apologize, but we have no way of knowing this as it would depend on the daily usage. Thank you

-Shenavia 24/2/2023 9h59m19 am

How much does the 100lb tank weigh empty?

Bill, the empty weight is 67 lbs. Have a great day!

-Kristy 23/12/2022 8h42m28 am

I plan on mounting my 100 lb tank to my food trailer. Can I have it filled that way at a UHaul filling station or do you need to be able to take if off the trailer each time?

-Dawn McBride 22/1/2021 7h08m16 pm

That would be a question for the Centers. You need to take into a U-Haul Center first to have the tank purged before filling. Thank you

-Frank 25/1/2021 6h15m58 am

Do you buy propane tanks back or where can I sell my propane tanks

-James Kivett 14/5/2019 4h12m24 am

Hi, James! We do not buy back used propane tanks. If you need to dispose of them, you can drop them off at your local U-Haul Propane Center. Thank you!

-Savannah 20/5/2019 9h51m39 am

Two things: First, as you sell propane by the gallon, why doesn't the description for the tank you sell indicate the capacity in gallons? Second, as the tank needs to be purged before its first use, does U-Haul purge the tank when I get it filled?

-Chad 2/5/2019 6h24m25 pm

Hi, Chad! This 100 lb. steel propane tank holds approximately 23.6 gallons of propane. Your local U-Haul Propane Center can purge and fill your tank. Thank you!

-Savannah 3/5/2019 7h05m46 am

Would u come toy house and fill it or do I have to bring it in?

-Jessica 30/1/2019 12h18m13 am

Hi, Jessica! You will need to visit a U-Haul Propane Center near you to have the tank filled. Thank you!

-Savannah 30/1/2019 8h01m59 am

Can these tanks be transported horizontally and then be placed vertical before using?

Hello, Frank! All vertical cylinders MUST be transported, stored and used in the vertical position. It is very dangerous to transport them in the horizontal position. Thank you.

-Savannah 11/17/2017 2h16:31 PM

What type of connector do I need for a 100# tank to connect to a regulator? I have tried an FPOL connector but it leaks LP fuel. Any ideas?

-Nathan S 1/7/2015 1h06m17 pm

Hey Nathan, it sounds like you may want to check your o-rings. If you are experiencing leaks, they may be cracked.

In order to connect to our 100 lb tank you will need either a FPOL or POL connector. Any of our regulators with a hose will do!
