Person was not there when I ate my cousin and I had to put the trailer on ourselves, it was very heavy, if I’d of come alone I’d of never been able to do it myself! I have years of owning campers ect but this did not fit my hitch and yes I had a 2” ball as required I just towed same trailer from Washington state. The owner was polite and apologized, but he could have called me prior.

Larry LI picked up on a Sunday, so I was made to use the "electronic dispatch" method of getting my rental truck. I know the original place that I was supposed to pick up the truck had caught on fire and, unfortunately burned down {Batteries Plus). So, trying to be understanding and flexible, I went to a further location to get my rental. Unfortunately, the key lock box was uncooperative (I suggest some WD-40 Lubricant), but we eventually got the box open. Then, the truck was not cleaned, I had to clean the windows, sweep the box out, etc. The truck ran well, it was powerful and I was able to get my belongings in there in one load. Now, after all that, I was offered money to tow a trailer with a couple of U-Pack boxes on it from Lafayette, IN to Gainesville, FL. I gladly accepted. I was ahead of schedule and offered to pick up a day early, they accommodated. Unfortunately, after I got about 60 miles down the road, I noticed the outer tarp, wrap, covering (near the top) started to come loose and was very distracting to other drivers, not to mention - dangerous. So, I pulled over and used one of my extra strap tie-downs to fasten the cover down. After a few more miles, I noticed the strap used to tie the boxes down was flying around in the wind and was dangerously close to getting caught in the trailer tire(s). I pulled over again and tied it up better. Then, around midnight, I noticed the bottom velcro had pulled loose much like the top. Yup, I pulled over again and fastened that down, as well. The rest of the trip went well and uneventful. When I got to Gainesville, I parked it where they wanted it, fortunately I am experienced at backing trucks with trailers into "tight" spots and dropped off the cargo and trailer. Regardless, I commented about the situation and was told they would give me a $250 "return" for the situation. I am thankful, but I expected a little more, I risked my life on the side of the interstate fixing the issue (three different times). I was told that since they weren't aware of the "issues", they weren't able to do anything more. I asked if she thought I was lying, she said no, but I guess I didn't think to call U-Haul for 2 reasons: 1. I can fix this myself - quicker and better; 2. It would have taken an extra hour, maybe 2 hours, for each repair, to an already long trip. Anyway, I didn't mind the extra haul, I offered to do this more often if U-Haul needs something driven somewhere, I'd be willing to help. Everyone I dealt with was very friendly and helpful. Thank you for listening.
DANIEL RI reserved a truck then it wasn't there when I got there. Then got to the next place and the truck was there but jumped threw a million hoops to get the keys. Worst experience of my life and I will never use again. You need to have a better app with better communication and less hoops to jump threw. Maybe having an actual person to talk to on site would help also
terrance bMake sure the owner of the business is there or an employee that can take care of renting U-Haul‘s would be very helpful.
