The online drop off is complex asking for photos all at once may ease your customer experience. Overall this place was more than helpful as they jumped my vehicle that died when dropping off our uhaul.
Totally filthy! Arrived at 10am, 1 customer was in the office. Took 40 minutes to complete that transaction. No acknowledgement that we waited that long. Was then told they had no truck! 15 minutes later, husband told her to refresh screen! Again, no apology for delay!! Was then given wrong keys, when asked where truck was, she did not know and told us to go look for it!! During all this, I have a crew waiting at home.
I would suggest not changing someone's reservation. I had a confirmed reservation for a 26 foot truck and when I went to pick it up someone at uhaul changed it to a 20 footer. So I had to make 2 trips instead of 1 which is no big deal other than my company had to eat the expense of the second trip because we deal with insurance companies a d when they see we hauled everything out with a 26 footer in 1 trip and then took everything back in a 20 footer in 2 trips they will only pay for the same thing. Thankfully JR was as able to get me a discounted rate so the loss wasn't to bad. I was just very disappointed. I have used uhaul quite frequently and not had a problem til this time.

The gentleman at the location was great. You are asking the wrong qustions. My overall experience was awful because the equipment was not at the pickup location i requested no line, no fault of either of the locations, and i didnt get my equipment until 7 hours after my scheduled time. I would give corporate a net approval rating of 0.

You need to evaluate your representative. Very unprofessional. The truck cab was dirty, back door was hard to open and close. Handwritten on the receipt, which we left in truck, was "not responsible for water damage". This was not discussed with us prior to the rental.
I wasn't pleased that I had to drive to a location 1 hour from my city. Uhaul was kind enough to give me an extra 24 hours at no additional cost. Uhaul is very good at accommodating for an inconvenience.
Because of the aforementioned problems during check-out, the check-in process was complicated. I returned the trailer a day early (afternoon Tuesday rather than morning Wednesday), but the agent was unable to complete the check-in process because my "one-day rental" record would not allow a change to the check in date. She offered to complete the check-in the following morning and call me to let me know it had work, which she did. However, because the record was a one-day rental for $75 (instead of 5 days at $15 each), the computer required her to charge me $20/day for each late day, totalling $100. I noticed this on my CC, and called her back. She said there was nothing she could do, and i would have to call the 800 number for assistance. I did that, and someone rather easily submitted a credit request ticket. The next workday I received a call saying the credit had been submitted; three days later I saw it on my CC. So I'm fine now. But this "simple five day rental" turned out to be quite difficult, caused by my needing a 4*8 trailer and not being willing to upgrade to a larger one.
The person from Uhaul that called me was not friendly at all. She was actually very rude. I schedule to pick my truck up between 12-5 and when I called they said they rented my truck out for the afternoon and that it wouldn't be back until 5. I was was going to be there early afternoon and I had to wait. This was an extreme inconvenience as I booked the truck at a place in my home town but was told I had to drive an hour away to get my truck. I had to ask a friend to take time off of work to drive a two hour round trip when I could have walked to pick up on my own.
Location difficult to locate. Apparently the business recently had moved. The location was changed from that requested, adding 20+ miles to pick up. The air conditioning did not function when picked up. U Haul offered to replace the truck, but had to drive to Lanark (40+ miles) to swap trucks and did not offer to drop one off at residence. Chose to purchase $35.00 A/C charging dispenser at auto store, which resolved the issue. Would suggest either maintaining the truck or selling it off. Did not receive a dolly at the pickup location but the drop off stated is was part of the contract, so expected one to be in the truck. Not sure how that happened, as I did not request one.
Additional miles at n/c would be nice.
Equipment was older car hauler. Guy renting it said people had refused it before. I had no choice, I needed it. Had a bad tire that ended up going flat and I had to off load vehicle and go back and get it.
Seems their quite new at this ! Took alittle bit to get it figured out? I had an out of state license which seemed to be a problem ? It for the state I was driving the trailer to .
I waited 2 hours and 20 minutes waiting for my vehicle. I was the 3rd customer at 10 o'clock. The shop is "dirty". It's a car repair shop with no place to sit. They operated the computer via a telephone "i-phone" and it kept going down. The attendant was very polite and apologetic account of the delay. Because of this delay I was almost two hours late for having the truck loaded in which I had to pay extra money to the individuals that were at the location to load the truck. I also had to additional drive an additional 40 with the truck as you had no truck available at Rock Falls, Sterling or Dixon, Illinois. I received no additional compensation for driving the truck the extra 40 miles or for the people that had to drive out of their way to pick up my car as they were at the location in Rock Falls waiting for me.
Very friendly service would recommend to anyone!
