I rented a 10x10 unit online, but AFTER I had submitted the request and paid, the app told me that I was getting two 5x10 units rather than a 10x10 unit. I need a 10x10 unit, not a pair of 5x10 units. I then went to the U-Haul of Ithaca office to ask about this and was told by the assistant manager on duty that, in sum, that there are no 10x10 climate controlled units available and so the website gave me two 5x10s. When I pointed out that I was not informed of the switch until after I paid, and that it was very misleading, I got the typical "I don't control the website" response. When I asked if I could switch to a 10x10 unit when one became available, I was told that they rarely open up and that there is no wait list or other system to tell me when one does open up. Very disappointing experience, very misleading, and I will be looking elsewhere for an actual 10x10 unit as soon as possible.

Comment U-Haul Fonctionnement des avisWe were misdirected to a blue building, which was actually white. The code given us for access did not work; a revised code only worked after many tries. There was no mouse trap as promised.
PAUL W | Premières impressionsSecure, not well lit
Amanda W | Expérience généraleGood experience.
IAN M | Expérience généraleI just wish you had a 10 x 30 available, or, could offer me an assemble of smaller units at the same rate. Other than that, it's a little out of the way from town but I know it wasn't an option with building codes or something, and I'm very grateful that it's there.
SARAH L | Déménagement en lignePeople are very friendly, further, this is one of the few storage units in town that do not require half a month advance notice or you get charged anyway for moving out. Definitely recommend it to all of my friends.
SARAH L | Expérience généraleThe pricing is some of the best in town, the units are newer and fresher, and since we have coyotes in the area, when I occasionally had to go in the evening and heard the coyotes, I've been very grateful for the fence, lol!
SARAH L | Déménagement en ligneGreat customer service!
JAMES P | Expérience généraleThe entry has a hard bump in both entrances. I believe some kind of levelling or permanent good ramp would be very helpful.
