U-haul expects the customer to do everything but check the vehicle back in and out. These trucks are not gone over for every little important safety detail. Case in point, the driver's side door would not lock or unlock with the key and every time this truck is turned in it gets parked without key safety checks in my observation. Loaded it had to be parked in a public lot and left unlocked at the cab door because even though the vehicle has less than 4 000 miles it was more like a 50 000 mile vehicle given the scrapes and damage to the exterior.JOHN H.

Waited 5 minutes in car for Rep to arrive, Rep was on his phone the entire time, Rep would not give assistance backing trailer up and requested that I turn the trailer around myself. This drop off location was changed via text after I already scheduled another location. After calling to request a closer drop off the phone Rep sent me to a location that does not accept trailers and horrible downtown traffic. This cost time and money that I cannot retrieve. After a phone call to reschedule because the current site Rep would not reschedule me, I spoke to another phone Rep that was making excuses for the prior Rep she repeated many times he is human and we make mistakes. She did was not empathetic at all and dismissed the entire thing as nothing to her. She gave me another locationMAJOR W.
Customer service representative was on his personal phone the entire duration of my drop off for the trailer hitch. He explained to me that it was my job to unlatch my own vehicle while continuing to stare at his phone. When he finally deigned to unlatch my vehicle, he told me to apply gas to reverse the car before realizing there were two other protective chains still latched to the underside of my car. If there is damage to the bottom of my vehicle, you will be receiving a call from me. The representative was lazy, rude, uninterested in performing his job and a danger to everyone looking to rent a truck. I will never be suggesting this location (3947 Peachtree Rd, Atlanta GA) to anyone in the future.KEIRA S.

As I mentioned in previous review, I made my reservation 2 months in advance and the truck was not available when I showed up. I had to push the guy to help me out and only by hanging around for about an hour and prying I was finally able to get another truck. I don't foresee using Uhaul again in the future as the customer service component of your business is lacking.Joshua M.

1. The cargo compartment was padlocked and I was not provided the key. I discovered that when I got to my first destination. I spent an hour on hold with roadside assistance hoping that a padlock key might be hidden somewhere in the truck. Finally I drove back to uhaul to get it unlocked. That added about 60 Miles & 2 hours to my day. In the process I lost $350 I had paid for furniture as the pickup point was not open by the time I got back. I can't pick up that item without a truck. 2. The driver's side mirror kept flipping back while traveling. That presents a huge safety hazard for any customer who has not driven a similar large vehicle. 3. The manager was a nice guy & apologized for the screwups.Kenneth S.
Location was out of stock of utility dollies and moving blankets, despite me reserving them, and even being charged for them. My check-in sheet indicated the gas tank was 3/4 full, when it was only 1/2, so I was unrightfully charged an extra 1/4 tank. Staff was overwhelmed. Several other customers were not able to get a vehicle despite making a reservation. FYI a reservation means that you're GUARANTEED to get the thing you reserve.Andrew B.

Horrible customer service. The people working the counter were condescending and extremely rude. In addition to myself I overheard them being rude to others , and one employee to instruct the other to lie to a customer to avoid having to do an extra task. 1. Made an online reservation but the account verification email was delayed multiple times so I could never verify my login.This also prevented me doing an online checkin when I arrived so I had to wait 25mins for checkin help. 2. The van I "reserved" was not available. Luckily there was an alternative available. 3. The appliance dolly I "reserved" was not available. 4. The truck I rented was clean. The truck had an unreported gash in the top from prior renter. 5. I tried to document the damage but the upload of the picture failed and the website did not save the picture on my phone. Now I'm expected to pay for the prior renter's damage.DANIEL L.

DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION! The service is absolutely terrible. I made a reservation two weeks prior and was told on the day of that they didn't have a truck available. There's no point in calling ahead and making a reservation because they'll tell you at the store that availability is first come first serve. On top of not having the truck the person working was so rude about it and didn't even try to help us find another truck. Go with another moving company for a better experience.Ryanna B.
I had to wait over an hour to be attended, despite having a reservation and arriving fifteen minutes early. I missed an important appointment because of the unnecessary delay. There were 11 customers waiting ahead of me and only one overworked member of staff. More employees are needed at this location. I would like to receive my Reservation Guarantee because of the ridiculous waiting time. It was 1hour and 20 minutes after my reservation time before my equipment was available.JARED D.
1 hr wait time due to limited staff working. The truck wasn't cleaned from previous usage so there was no wipe down at all. I didn't know about safe move was charged to my rental still I noticed on my final invoice. I tried to call customer care waited 45 mins and no answer so I hung up the phone. Please refund my $14.00. I didn't ask for this service during rental and you added it my rental anyway.Scott L.

I called to explain that I was not responsible for the fuel surcharges - $55. I put two gallons of fuel in the van. I only drove 41 miles. I was on the phone on hold for over 40 minutes before I spoke to a person to complain. I have not heard back from the store about my issue.WALTER B.
If something unexpectedly happens, and the customer will have return the truck many hours earlier than expected, be sure to explain to him or her that there will be a full charge for that day. I was sorry this happened for my May 16 rental.Thom S.
