I was overcharged a late return fee, and had to go to two different Uhaul sites. This was overall a terrible experience.

Prior to dropping off the vehicle, we thoroughly cleaned the truck - swept the inside and cleaned the cab, and put gas in it. When we dropped it off at DA Collision Center that evening, workers were outside drinking and doing drugs. Also, one of the workers immediately took the keys out of our hands and locked the doors when we got out of the truck and dropped them in the box. As a result, we were unable to do a proper mobile drop-off. To start the drop off process, the first picture you have to take is the odometer (which we were unable to do) and couldn't go any further. We walked over and asked for the key to complete it, and we were told, "You should have taken pictures." We ended up having to call U-Haul to inform them that we dropped it off just to ensure it was on record. The next day, we get a receipt with a cleaning fee. We called U-Haul to dispute the charge and determine the reason for it and the rep sent a picture from DA Collision - the under carriage of the middle seat completed covered in long dog hair, 100% impossible since there were no dogs. DA Collision intentionally took the keys and is stealing from us. It is ridiculous that we are in a "he said/she said" situation now and have to rely on someone else to believe us so we are not charged for this frivolous fee. DA Collision Center needs to be audited and removed as a U-Haul contractor for dishonesty, stealing, and lack of integrity, which is a terrible representation of U-Haul.

Rachel TPlease let customers know exactly what’s required for rentals, especially for the internationals and/or for those with expired U.S. licenses. U-Haul customers can be from any country. Having a set up online that guides the customers about the requirements as we go through the online booking would be helpful and save times for both parties. The rental time/clock should start not from the booking time, rather kick off when the engine starts. My original booking was at 15:30, I started the engine at 17:30 (more or less), completed the check out process. I had to make a call to make adjustments. The assistant on the call was helpful and made the adjustment. DA Collision Center and assistants on the phone were very helpful. Even though I had to wait/spend extra 3-4 hours to book my truck, I was glad to get the job done.
