The Ace hardware I rented the truck was great, it was clean, had all the last minute items you would need to get everything loaded and the employees were courteous. The driving experience was an entirely story. The 26' truck got less than 9mpg. Almost all on the interstate going 65mph or less. As long as it was continuous pour concrete or asphalt it was barely okay. As soon as you got onto segmented sections the fun began, it rattled, and shook, seemed like the front end was porpoising from every joint in the road. I went down with a couch, two chairs with ottoman s, a bedroom set and new boxed cabinets. It did the same when I came back empty. I drove through light rain and while the wiper blades worked good it was if there wasn't enough tension from the arms and the drivers side would "skip" across. I had to slow down to 60 or less which helped somewhat.
ERNIE TIt was very difficult to upload photos of the U-Haul prior to starting the rental. This may be a glitch with the app but something to keep in mind.
