We reserved a truck and it took over 2 hours to get it! The after hour app would not let us move forward. Then we called the 800 number and the call dropped serval times while we were on hold for next representative. Over 2 hours to rent a truck!! Uhaul you need to pay me!! Not happy at all!

The truck served my needs. But it was near the end of it's useful life. The customer service was exceptional at the location. The experience won't negatively impact my decision to utilize u-haul in the future but I am glad I only had a local errand for the truck today.


I dropped off after hours and tried using the U-haul check in on my phone and it would not let me enter the mileage- it kept putting the decimal mark in the wrong place and it showed less miles than the truck had on it. The fuel level entry worked as well as a picture upload but since the mileage input did not work, I could not complete it. I called U-haul for assistance and after 35 minutes of being on hold and no one answering, I hung up, locked up the rental, and put the keys in the drop box. I called back the next morning to advise of the drop off and no one answered so I left a voice mail. After an hour, I tried back and still no answer. So, I called Jordan at U-Haul Moving & Storage of Owensboro and she tried calling to help me out with the return. She had to leave a voicemail too. She was able to see the truck was returned to the proper return location and that the return was processed. I still have never received a return call from Affordable Storage Guys. I can't believe they are so busy to never return a customers call.

No improvements necessary. This was the best experience I have had renting U-Haul. Not threat previous experiences were bad, but customer service here was outstanding! This location will get any of my future business and I will highly recommend it to everyone.

Yes, I should have read what I signed, BUT telling a customer “you're paying for a 24 hour rental” and it actually being a 6 hour rental really sucked figuring out mid-move.

Your UHaul app is the WORST I have seen in years. It would not recognize my reservation, screwed up my address and would NOT be corrected, so I was forced to return during business hours to avoid the $20.00 “convenience fee”. The 800 number had to be called 3 times to get the info they screwed up corrected ( ie last name misspelled, time of pickup wrong). The location I picked up couldn't have been more accommodating, Brittany was very helpful and friendly.


I had reserved a 15' truck for 5/21 and an appliance dolly but the appliance dolly wasn't in the truck. I reserved the truck at the Wal-Way location in Bowling Green.

Since everything has to be done online, it was a complete chore to even get the truck rented. I could not get the reservation to confirm on the website. I had to call to speak to someone to get that pushed through. After a long hold someone finally got it reserved for me. Upon arrival to pick the truck up, I tried logging in to the account in order to check in. It did not recognize my phone number or email. After trying several times, I decided to call the helpline. After 15 minutes on hold, I was able to talk to someone. After telling them my troubles they realized I was in the wrong department and put me back on hold for another 15 minutes. The next person came on and told me a alternate way to check in. I hung up and tried that and as no surprise it did not work. By that time an employee had finally gotten to the location. She would not let me in but told me I could call her and she would try to help me remotely. After several attempts at getting my reservation approved she was finally successful. When logging on to get things set up before I left I was not able to take a picture of the gas hand which was 3/4 full. It kept giving me an error message. I finally gave up. When returning the truck, I began the online process and it would not allow me to do that as it told me my location services on my phone were not turned on. After confirming that it was on, it still would not let me complete the check in. I get my final invoice and see that I'm charged for a cleaning fee and a gas fee because it was not completely filled up. I returned it at 3/4 just like when I got it. Overall the experience was terrible. I realize we are dealing with unprecedented times right now but the lack of helpful technology, long hold times and overcharging was extremely disappointing. I would like to speak to someone about my experience.
