The app was terrible to use for pick up. It did not let me take pictures to upload and be able to successfully check out. It took an additional 25 to 30 minutes of my paid for time luckily the store attendant, which was not a U-Haul employee was able to help me this delay caused my pick up time window for my item to expire, which made this U-Haul rental useless

Comment U-Haul Fonctionnement des avisWas confusing for two reasons First - it was fully automated... using the app and a lockbox. However, there was no information about how to prepare for that ahead of time- so I wasted 20 minutes trying to figure out what to do. Would have been much better if there was an email letting me know how to prepare ahead of time and what to expect. Second - the return said to "bring to the lot" - they had no lot, so luckily I found street parking very close... and there was a lot of metered parking... so more clarity on where to return would have been helpful. Finally- this location was not my original spot. I had one very close to my house - and then the night before, I got an in-app message that they changed the location. This was frustrating, and ideally they would have moved the truck to the place I chose. but if going to alert me- should have been an email and text and phone call to confirm, especially as it was around 12 hours before my pickup! Overall- pretty poor pickup experience for a variety of reasons. But the truck worked well once I got on my way.
Lyle BThe worse experience in my life!! And I didn’t get a credit like I was told I would since they messed up my time retrieving the truck. I would never ever use that location again and I make sure to post it on social media handles how terrible the service was!!! You never know who people may know and I know a lot people!!!
