Reserved for 2 days and mentioned that 6 times to the employee and she still reserved for 3 days and didn't even know till I got an email later that night because they don't give you any paperwork for your reservation. Called U-Haul after the fact, on hold for 20 minutes, rep asks me to explain everything to him then proceeds to tell me they are closed, call another number back tomorrow. Called back next day and talked to April, which was very polite, but she transferred me and it hung up. Called another number and they FINALLY got it right, but I wanted to be compensated for trying for several days and getting the run-a-round. They said I have to talk to Ace because they made the reservation. Talked to same girl that initially made the incorrect reserve, and she said there's no comp. I had to talk to U-Haul. Really!! If it wasn't already several days going through all this BS and needing rental now (no time to search around for someone else), I definitely would've called Penske or another co. So, picked up truck, it was excessively loud, like the engine was going to blow up! Waited 30 minutes for this guy to look at it after he got done playing on his phone. He said they all sound like that, he never looked at anything. Put the key in and stood there for a minute then said it's good. I worried driving 200 miles RT of it dyeing on the side of the road. When I brought it back, I told him that it sounds like something is slipping and clunking. Then to top it all off, I told him I wanted to use a different card then what was on file. He said, I already ran the other card. Didn't ask me if the card on file was the one I wanted to use, he just made the decision w/o my consent. Jill and Marcus. They don't seem to care about their jobs, so they obviously aren't going to care about the customers. NEVER AGAIN will I rent from U-Haul! You lost a good customer and my recommendation. Oh, and $1,19/mi., plus truck rental, gas, fees, etc. I spent over $400 for 2 days in a crappy, rundown truck.

Comment U-Haul Reviews WorkAfter Marcus removed the trailer from the truck he didn't make a wide enough swing and rammed the trailer into the bumper of the truck and said oops. And claimed it was a U-Haul issue and not theirs. I feel it was his fault because it was detached from the truck and it was in his hands. We will be following up with Ace hardware and U-Haul for a resolution on the damage of the bumper.
