Extraordinarily complicated to check in and check out with no human to help. App gave me login code for gate but then told me I had to advance to next page to get keys before getting to gate… couldn't go back and get login code. Why am I paying the same uhaul prices I used to, but now having to do all the check in and check out work?

The automated pickup process was HORRIBLE. The upselling feels like a scam because the option to decline is tiny and hard to find. And it’s page after page of trying to cram adding down my throat. The directions for picking up the truck are completely screwed. It tells you locate your truck first, which you can’t because it’s behind a locked gate that needs a code which I had to get a virtual assistant to give me by going into the unmanned store. Then I get to the truck and go to step 2 which tells me to go all the way back to the front to get the keys for it. On top of all this I had to take 20 friggin pictures of the truck since U-Haul won’t pay for a human to be on site. I will NEVER use U-Haul again.

IAGO MThe manager was very courteous and helpful. I left my phone in the truck when I returned the truck. The manager called my wife when he found it and called right away. A very pleasant experience.
KENT BI don’t know how I would have dropped the uhaul off if no one was going into the storage unit right when I got there. With a 26’ truck if I pulled in I would have blocked the entire entrance/exit, and with no one on site (before 5pm) I would have struggled to figure out what to do. There needs to be clear instructions if they want it on the street, so someone on site to help get it into the facility for me to feel more comfortable renting there in the future. Everyone was nice when I picked up, and the virtual assistants were polite and helpful, but the small driveway and no parking outside of the locked area make it very challenging.
