The seal was missing from the hand truck so I was charged for using it. When I returned the truck I tried filling up the truck but the gas cap was broken so I walked to the office to speak with someone at the office and luckily they were standing outside. They checked the cap and eventually was able to get the gas cap off. I asked if I could go back to put fuel in the truck they told not to worry about it. I check my state and I was charged for not filling the truck up. When speaking with the supervisor (a young lady) the older black guy questioned me why I didn't talk to him first. Overall the service from start to finish was trash, horrible and I will never go to this location or any other U-Haul facility. I'm going to also past this on this all my fellow military members and friends as well!!!!

Hard to find/see. Poor signage. Within 20 miles of leaving the lot a light came on starting to change oil soon. You all knew I was going to be driving approximately 1600 miles so I would have thought it would have been completed.

Have used this concern a few times in the last couple of years, good service and nice people to deal with.


Had to call the 800 number in order to have the rental for 24hrs, local person Jerry, said I can only get it for 4 hrs. Well not only did I get the 24hrs which is the same as 4 hrs, I ended up reserving an extra day, because of the great service I received on the phone.


The truck I reserved wasn't available which led to a double trip.

I was pleased with service, equipment, and location.


I had a reservation at another location and I elected the truck share so that i didn't have to go inside, die to covid19, I was called a few hrs before my pick up that I was moved to another location due to a truck not returning, the location was much further out, l was assured that I could still do the online check in, as I was trying to access this for 30 mins, I went inside and was told by the clerk that their system doesn't allow check in. I was late to my appointment and I had to pay for mileage that otherwise I would not habe had to pay for if I was at my original location, I should have been offered to only pay for mileage as if I was coming from and dropping off to the original location. Terrible experience

Hard to run a rental pickup location with only one attendant. The first problem with a customer or having to spend 30 minutes putting a trailer on a truck and finding the right equipment to do that and customers who just need the keys to their equipment and to get on with their busy day have to sit for an hour and watch the clock. What's worse is that you have your customers spend a lot of time filling out a ton of 'pre-registration' materials online which promises to streamline the pickup process which means NOTHING if the lone attendant can't get to you.

When I made the reservation, I was to pick up at Tom's Tire in Elgin SC at 6 pm. That is according to the text that I received. Toms' Tire closes at 4 pm. They moved my reservation to red door storage and I was never notified. This put me behind an hour on what I needed to do and also had me drive the truck an additional 12 miles back to my home. This put me over my allotted miles by 6 which I was charged for. I only drove the truck back to my home to load, to the destination to unload and then to the drop off point. Also, the truck number and the number that was given to me online did not match. The attendant was helpful and the key he had worked. I was worried that there would be an issue with the key number not matching the truck number. I know it was less than 3 dollars extra that I had to spend, but putting me behind, and not notifying me of a change of pickup is not acceptable.
