This location did not verify that the trailer serial number matched the serial number on my contract. As a result this created much confusion with the drop off location. I had to spend time on the phone the next morning convincing them that I did indeed drop off my rental despite what they had on the lot and what was on my contract didn't match.

Pricing needs to transparent. The charges for added insurance, mileage, taxes should be advertised as such, and the dealer had agreed that this should not be the way a business is ran. There should be a flat rate for in town moves at a daily rate no matter the mileage, so long as the vehicle is returned to the same location it was picked up. The Uhaul dealer should be responsible for insuring the vehicle is completely fueled up before renting it out. I received a truck that was on "full" and drove it 30 miles. The gauge still said full once I was finished but I filled it to capacity and it totalled 6 gallons of gas, these trucks do not average 5 mpg unless there is a major mechanical issue. The dealer should walk the renter through the basics of these larger vehicles before giving them the responsibility of driving them, i.e. properly adjusting mirrors, braking differences from a normal vehicle, the location of all controls and safety functions in vehicle. The dealer had only gave me a key and pointed outside where the vehicle was located. There should be an option online to add extra time for a rental. I had a few issues in my move, not related to vehicle, that set back my time frame. I feared getting charged late return fees or ect because I could not contact anyone on at local dealer and there was no information online on how to do this, so I returned vehicle and am trying to find another option. I rented vehicle on a Saturday around 10 AM and requested the return date/time the following day around when the dealer closed, which I had seen online was 2 pm for sunday, the dealer did not mention they were closed Sundays and said to just put the key in a drop box when I returned it. Later I had seen on paper work that dealer had put return time at 10 AM, after I had assumed I was OK to use vehicle until 2 PM which is stated as the closing time of this location on Sundays listed on the Uhaul website. This caused extra stress and worry during my move. Because I could not make contact with dealer, I returned vehicle according to time on paperwork. Upon returning the vehicle I had found that a renter is required a smart phone to submit photos of vehicle and submit a simple questionnaire of the vehicle condition/location or there would be a $20 fee added for a dealer to confirm this information the next day available. The location was supposed to be open according to Uhaul website but nobody was around. Phone service was poor at best for the location, so to submit the required information took about 30 minutes of time before being able to complete. Overall I needed a truck to move, Uhaul had one for me and they completely took advantage of that situation. Now I'm out about $105 dollars for an ill advertised $20 truck and I still have to find a way to move the rest of my things. I did get some things moved that I could not have without renting this vehicle but I do not believe the hassle was worth it.
This location was great. Very friendly and the customer service was spot on. Certainly made up for the grouchy vmail I received from the man at the Parachute, CO location. That rude jerk left me a message regarding pick up of the equipment 45 minutes before closing, which I had no prior info of their closing time. Rental was for pick up after 10am. Vmail came at 11:15. Guess he needed to get home and hopefully be rude to little kids trick or treating.

A representative from Craig Storage came to my house and banged on my door early in the morning demanding the truck back. We had spent the previous day moving for 20 hours because Uhaul did not have a 26' truck like I had reserved and waited two weeks for; therefore, we had to make two trips because we had a smaller truck. I had driven for 16 hours, getting in at 2am, and was very rudely and unprofessionally awoken after an extremely strenuous day. I was shocked that someone affiliated with Uhaul used my address to show up at my door, especially because she tried to physically enter my home. In addition, I was charged for the extra mileage, mileage that was only needed because Uhaul did not have a 26' truck like I had reserved weeks in advance. I will NEVER use Uhaul again.
The auto transport had 2 bad tires that we discovered as we were pulling out of the location. They didn't have any equipment and were not allowed to do anything until someone from Steamboat approved it. So we left it for repairs. They called and said it was ready to pick up, but when we got there it was back at the tire shop because there was a dummy tire on it that they didn't notice until after they called us to pick it up. So we drove a total of 100 miles to pick up the equipment when we live 25 miles from their location. So twice they failed to inspect the equipment before telling us it was ready to go.
Location was average because it was 212 miles round trip from my home. staff friendly. Was given the keys in the office and told to look over the truck and take off. Only one person on site, no time to leave the phones.

We reserved online a 5x8 trailer called to confirm and was told equipment not available. Moved up to bigger trailer and was told $34 for rental. By the time we walked out rental was over $60. Very deceiving pricing and lies. Will be more careful if there is a next time.

Make sure the truck has windshield washer fluid.

The truck was incredibly dirty when we picked it up. The cab was muddy and dusty and so was the cargo bed.

When I arrived at my scheduled time to pick up the truck, the store was closed, and there were clearly no trucks anywhere in the vicinity. I called the owner of the store (the phone number was posted outside) and she sounded surprised to learn about my scheduled appointment. She said she would be there in 5-10 mins, but it ended up being more like 20-30. She did eventually locate the truck, which was returned by another customer an hour and a half late. But trying to coordinate and get in touch with small town stores like these is a nightmare.
