I had a defective electrical adapter; a member of your staff had the knowledge and equipment to identify the problem and provide a new adapter. Way too many personal questions had to be provided before i could even get a price for the vehicle i wanted to rent. When i arrived to pick it up I was given a price based on the estimated # of km i would be driving The price was 93.00 When i returned the truck earlier than requred the price was 1.5 x the quote The charge for the rental was wrong i was over charged by $10.00 And the agent told me i had requested blankets and a dolly which i had not. They removed the 10.00 eventually Then there was the cost for milage I was given a total $ quote including 100kms At 93.00 and change When i returned that cost Was more than doubled for the milage i used which was 114 km Not 100 Which shouldve been 8.26 for the 14 extra km at .59 cents per km Then i was told the person who rented the vehicle made a mistake when they inputted my milage. Since the person who did this was present at another til we had her come over and she confirmed that she entered our usage at 80 miles which on the systwm is around 100km She then checked the paperwork and said that the computer did not make the change she requested and that i was only put in for 50 miles instead of the 80 she requested. This increased my cost from 93.00 and change to the 140's a difference of approx 50.00 Alot of money for anyone to come up with on the spot. I was not impressed with the service nor the computer system. And how the person operating the system was at fault but i was the ine who payed for their mistake. I will unlikley use your sevice again. And will tell my story of poor service to any friends or family who ask me about the rental Also we rented a 15 foot truck to buy 12 foot fencing and it did not fir in the truck. No one told us that the overhang above the cab in the truck was included in the length of the truck Making our pick up and delivery if materials much more difficult and take much longer than we had planned. All in all a very poor service

I went to this location a few day before to make a reservation for an open trailer. They said we had no trailer available. So I went to the before location and they said they don’t do trailer but Dartmouth does. The gentleman at this location put the time into looking at Dartmouth stock and confirmed they had a trailer available. There was only 20 minutes in time from the time I traveled from Dartmouth to Bedford. So the service in Dartmouth was unacceptable at reservation time but the service in Bedford west was above and beyond.

Truck steering locked so we had trouble starting it. I called roadside assistance & they were very helpful. I had to call customer service to see if another truck was available & waited in queue for 15 minutes. That was too long. The staff at the location were very courteous.

After a one way rental and having never having seen this location before I was a little confused about where to drop off my rental unit due to the full,crowded parking lot and large amounts of u haul equipment parked around the business on side streets,etc. Perhaps signage stating where to return units would be helpful.

Customer service was excellent, on pick up and on return. 1 Two items, however, detracted from the experience: The initial booking call was taken by someone who could suck all the oxygen out of any room. The practised monotone of voice said "I am so bored and lazy Im going to let you know that , but in a passive aggressive way , so you can't report me. I was so startled by the "just got out of bed and why are you calling me" dripping off the voice.... I actually blurted out a comment on it... sounding joking , but trying to give the agent a little hint that using tone to make customers feel like an unwanted intrusion is really bad for business. Even after the hint, it felt like she doubled down on keeping her tone flat and lifeless. She robotically booked the rental, and I was set free to breathe oxygen again. Surprisingly, the next call from the center was equally rude and overly assertive in tone. He felt like a bill collector! This seems like a center "culture" issue, as It seems no one is training and monitoring to keep " tone" out if the "unpleasant" range. (The last center contact was a young woman who was very pleasant, and friendly.) 2 The 2nd issue was much more disturbing , because it utterly shakes my confidence in renting from U-haul ever again, for concern that my possessions will be damaged. The 10' truck leaked at BOTH front top corners so that everything at the front got wet. Fortunately, I had unloaded most items, but the solid Maplewood dresser got enough water to raise the grain creating numerous small bumps over one end, and rubbing the water off removed the finnish off the edge. The return service rep was friendly and efficient, and referred me to an insurance claim process , but the money is not the only point. If your trucks leak so badly... how can I have ANY confidence that irreplaceable items will survive? And...Why do I have to spend MY time fixing your problem with leaking trucks? 3 I would like to add that , I was made aware this rep was hearing impaired, and I have noted other Uhaul employees with impairments/disabilities. I applaud this initiative, and really appreciate the human difference it makes having amazing people around that know how to rise to challange. Thank you for that. It adds something special to the experience at Uhaul. Will Murphy

the web site gave me one price and for the exact specs the location charged me more. She told me simply the web site doesn't charge taxes ?? refused to show me the breakdown. She sarcastically informed me she was the GM and didn't make mistakes.?? I told her we were dropping off in Hubbards , I indicated on the website we were delivering to a location outside of Hubbards and she stupidly assumed we were delivering to Hubbards so the KL were wrong and we had to pay extra $ on the drop off. Complete incompetence at every turn. Never again. Your brand is worth nothing because your employees have no idea what it means.

The customer service here was incredible. We booked very last minute at a busy time for moving so there was some confusion ( as to be expected) but the staff handled it so well. Will definitely come back to this location if in need of a uhaul again

Maybe let the customer know if the vehicle they booked is not available. I booked a 15' truck and got a 26' one instead, which was terrifying to drive and I had nowhere to park it. It just made my moving process a bit more stressful.

Trailer hook up and opening of the rental contract was top notch; however, one person walked by me at least five times as I stood waiting (25 minutes) to speak with the singular U-haul rep behind the contract counter (who was busy answering phones & serving another customer in front of me). After 25 minutes, I was told I need to hook up the trailer before anything at the contract counter could be done. So 25 minutes wasted which could have been avoided if the person who walked by (at least five times) had engaged the customer even once. Lots of service companies encourage their employees to ask customers who enter the place of business "can I assist you sir/ma'am?". 25 minutes, waiting for company assistance degrades the otherwise "top notch" rating.

PLEASE, there has to be a more efficient way to complete the renting of a trailer! Currently one has to stand in line to "check in", then go and get the trailer hitched, then return and stand in line again to complete the paper work! Time consuming and extremely frustrating. This is 2018, it will be easy to digitize the process. Provide your employees with ipads and complete the paperwork electronically when the trailer gets hitched. It is a small investment but will hugely improve customer satisfaction and will enable you to save on personnel. I provided this feedback in a nice, calm way to the lady who completed the paperwork after I stood in line for a second time, it was met with contempt and a defensive attitude.
