When I checked in (after having to call customer service because the system kept kicking me out for no reason), the system said to get the keys from an agent but the location has no agent. Customer service rep was nice and helpful but couldn’t give me a lockbox code for the vehicle I reserved. She switched me to a van and gave me the code for that (was odd because when I made the reservation it said no vans at that location). I preferred the van but made no sense why I couldn’t get the code or why customer service could get one code over another. The lock box system was a mess with locks all over the place and older. Signage was poor to be kind. Van had low tire pressure and zero acceleration.

Comment U-Haul Fonctionnement des avisextremely hard to find. Incredibly time consuming and inconvenient. Difficult to figure out what to do - U Haul rep at 800 number saved the day by walking us through the process. Would NEVER recommend this to anyone. Will use Budget next time - with the $30 added on price (surprise bill) and the time consumption and terrible inconvenience, will never consider using U-Haul in the future. A complete mess and not cheaper either.
Alan BThe U-Haul automation is terrible. I rented a truck and was never told or prompted someone was else rented it to. They got 9-1 and I was 1-5pm. For a ten dollar difference could have gotten any of the 4 other trucks that sat in the gravel field all day. Other customer got back late and the virtual check in took 10-15 minutes so I was stuck for a half hour. Had to call support since check in never advised me the key for my truck was not available for me to get since we both had the same rental truck. Customer support guy was unsympathetic and threatened to hang up on me because I was not happy when talking to him. Zero stars. The person less rental experience did not work for the customer but was great for U-Haul. Looking for alternate companies for future needs.
Robert NOnce lined up, 4-letter combination to get the key to the truck doesn't work so easily at all. You keep having to pull down and push up the letters ever so slightly while hoping the little metal bar moves far right. When you get the owner on the phone her puts you down. Here's an idea, get a new lock! I'm sure by now he's heard it Iver and over but refuses to do so. I am not the only one. I can guarantee you that. I'm going to go to back to Morton Grove Uhaul. It's a little further but attended nicely.
