My trip was 16 miles and according to their web page the 15 foot truck gets 10 miles per gallon. On my final receipt they overcharged me for 28 miles in total and 9 gallons of gas for one trip. The truck was not returned late. The company states they made an attempt to charge my account on the same day but was declined by my bank. So they added a $30 late fee as well. On the day of I paid $48.73, aces then 15 days later my bank was again charged $93.08 for a total of $141.81 on a 16 mile trip. I disputed the charges and a supervisor contacted me. He offered me a refund for the late fee and fuel but because I wouldn’t agree to the fake mileage he stated I didn’t have any picture proof for my defense and changed his mind about refunding me at all. I informed him I would dispute the charges with my bank. He stated I would never be allowed to use Uhaul again. For the fuel the gas was at 3/4 tank when I picked it up and 5/8 when I dropped it off. But because I didn’t take pictures they called me a liar. I have the trip saved in Apple Maps and will taking it as proof to the bank. I will also be filling a complaint with BBB. Terrible service from Uhaul and fraudulent charges towards my account.
