Comment U-Haul Fonctionnement des avisI did the mobile rental option and it was terrible. By the time we were able to get our truck and leave the location it took an hour and a half. It was more the customer service issue. We were having issues checking in with our phone and I had to call and it was a 20-minute wait. Then they said they would reset the link. It never reset so we had to call back again and wait again. Three phone calls later I was able to get the truck and check out. This was the worst experience ever. Has nothing to do with the location. Has everything to do with U-Haul itself.
Steffani JI have rented from U-Haul several times in the past and this was by far the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had with a rental! The U-Haul I was given was COMPLETELY unsafe to drive and would not have even passed a State Inspection. The steering wheel was VERY LOOSE and vehicle hard to control while driving on the road. There was a loud “clunking” noise coming from the steering shaft. The alignment was also WAY off. The cab was dirty, I had to clean the windows to be able to safely see, and trash found under the seat and the cab smelled of cat urine. The windshield wipers were ineffective in the rain (I had to drive all the way from NC to FL in the rain!). The box portion of the truck leaked horribly and I sustained water damage to my belongings. Also, the transmission slipped between first, second, and third gears making a loud squeal when finally shifting. Truck would regularly rev to over 4000 rpm’s while this was happening. I was honestly SCARED TO DEATH the entire 8 hrs of my drive! I would like a representative to give me a call back regarding this truck and the experience I had.
Heather MWhen it started raining, water started leaking inside the truck and running down the floor where my belongings were stored. We noticed the leak and puddle of water running and had to use my best towels and comforters to absorb the water. By the time we made it to our destination, the towels and comforter smelled so bad from the water and heat that they had to be thrown away. I've heard bad things about u-haul . Now I know why.
