talitha WExtremely disappointing and unsafe experience with U-Haul! I paid approximately $1,800 for a truck that began sparking and smoking before breaking down at 1 AM, leaving my father and me stranded in Arkansas in the middle of no where. We were forced to sleep in the vehicle overnight until the U-Haul location opened at 10 AM. We also did pay for insurance on the truck. The truck had serious mechanical issues involving the rear differential and driveshaft. We had to transfer all our belongings into another truck, causing major delays, additional expenses, and disruption to my housing plans. Although U-Haul paid $500 for the labor of transferring our belongings, they have refused to provide an adequate refund for the rental. This experience was dangerous, stressful, and completely unacceptable. I would never recommend U-Haul for a long-distance move!
kinisha pDouble charged for tow dolly. I came to pick up late night on Saturday and brought it back next day at 3pm. Office said it’s ok to bring back Sunday for one day charge since I was picking up late at night. But then after return, they turn around and charged me for extra day. Talk about honesty.
