I rented trailer they said I would get money off for returning it a day early. It was a two day rental, Dropped off one day witnessed by Mike Uhaul Worker.

About 3 miles down the road after picking up the first trailer, the trailer came off the hitch. I was on a country road and only doing about 35 mph at the time. The tongue on the trailer had the older screw down connection which apparently failed. I called VanGordans and they came out immediately and had me follow them back to their shop to pick up another trailer that had the newer style hitch on it. They had no idea that the previous hitch connector was damaged as they had no issue attaching to my 2 inch ball. I recommend that all the old style lock down mechanisms be replaced with the new style or that all the old style hitches be promptly inspected. If I was on the interstate, towing a larger trailer, I am sure the issue would have resulted in a catastrophic accident. I had no further issues with the second trailer.
