Ensure the odometer in the system is correct. I drove 12 miles but was being charged 40 miles. I took a picture before leaving the location so I was able to show the worker that I was not lying. The gentlemen working there after having a back and forth conversation was able to resolve this. However this should not occur

The customer service worker was not friendly nor was he informative. He did not verify my drivers license and rented the car to my husband because he was in the sys Ten and would not change it into my name. Very disappointing.

Cabine of the truck was dirty. The sales associate did not show me where my truck was. I was told to find it. He spent more time drinking his coffee than assisting me.

Mileage was written backwards and fuel was below 3/4 when I picked up the van but my paperwork said 7/8 . Drove the truck 8 miles and had to put 15 dollars of gas in the tank to reach 7/8 .

Gas not full on pickup but marked paperwork as full. Had to return on full. Took 6.6 gallons of gas to go 21 miles. Truck not ready and was blocked in by other vehicles. Chantilly is better.

The only thing was that the customer service rep over charged me on the mileage. He charged me for almost 10 extra miles and when I brought it up he seemed to be annoyed that I was questioning him and he went out to the truck grumbling under his breath and shaking his head. I ended up being correct and he gave me the refund of the difference but he seemed to have hoped I wouldn’t have caught that overcharge. Just double check your receipts and make sure you’re paykng attention to the mileage.

Make sure that your Customer Service Representative when they approach read our correct information. I had a bad experience where the Representative that waited on me try to say that I owed 92.84 Inwhich I had pay in full before the truck was taken off the lot. He tried to say I didn’t pay when I had receipt. I went inside and explain to other Representative and he told him he was wrong and he straightened it all out.

There is nowhere to park, even for just the 5 minuets it takes to complete a transaction. Employees were rude about trying to park. It’s a very busy location and there’s 2 parking spaces.

The people at the front were very kind and helpful, making the experience of renting a truck easy. The only downside is that the location is not at a street light, so people have to wait for traffic to pass through when driving out of their parking lot. The traffic on Sudley Road in Manassas can sometimes be heavy, so I would recommend for people to try and rent truck either on weekends or during non-commute time.

1- Utilize a few trailer spaces for customer parking. 2- Employ people who know the basics of vehicles and customer service (i.e., which how to adjust manual mirrors on either side of a vehicle for goodness sake...). U-Haul worker #1 was sleeping when I arrived. I walked up to him within 8 feet of the counter unsure of what to do, and said hello. He didn't even wake up. Worker #2 walked out, greeted me and assisted me at the other end of the counter. He was visibly embarrassed about the situation. Once I paid, he asked if I were leaving a personal vehicle. I said yes. He then informed me there was no parking for personal vehicles and I'd have to park it elsewhere before taking the cargo van I just rented. Once outside, #2 walked out to show me where the van was, which happened to be double-parked, so he said he'd have #1 come out and pull the van out for me. So I wait outside in windy cold conditions for slow-moving #1 to come out. He pulls a cargo van out in front past where I'm standing, hops out with it and says here you go- as I walked toward it assuming he pulled it around for me. Nope, as I near him at the van door, he hands me a key. I look at him like deer in the headlights, confused because the van was already running, and he says, 'no this isn't yours, yours is around the building,' and walked away. Awful customer service. When I did go find and get in my van, and realized the side mirrors were manual, #1 happened to be backing his van in next to mine so I asked thru window if the mirrors had a control or were just manual. He didn't know. I said well, would you mind helping me out with the side mirror (meaning the passenger side, since I obviously could adjust my own), he walks to mine and proceeds to turn it AWAY from the van. Really?! So I politely say I meant the other mirror. He walks to the other side and does the SAME thing- points the top and bottom mirrors AWAY from the van. This is not rocket science. I actually wondered if I were on a tv show being pranked, or if the person was just a little slow (and I don't say that mockingly at all). It's just clear this person was not capable of the job. In any capacity. I wouldn't steer anyone away from this location necessarily, but just be aware of what awaits you should you rent a vehicle here.
