I rented a U-Haul for a very short trip, only about 7–8 miles. I had read reviews from previous customers mentioning unexpected fuel charges, so I made sure to add gas before returning the vehicle. In fact, the fuel level was slightly above the level it was at when I picked it up. Despite that, when I returned the vehicle, I was told I would be charged an additional $13–$14 for fuel. I explained that I had already refueled the vehicle and returned it with more fuel than I received it with, so I did not think the charge was fair. After discussing it with them, they eventually agreed not to apply the charge. I’m glad it was resolved, but I wanted to bring this to other customers’ attention, especially since I had already seen similar comments in previous reviews. I would strongly recommend taking clear photos of the fuel gauge at both pickup and return.

Comment U-Haul Fonctionnement des avisRetire the truck - 95,000 plus miles and a rough ride. I don't do 'miles' I do metric so all the charges should not be shown to me in miles. The truck was from Arizona. Initially I mistook the speedometer for kph but I soon learned the speedometer was showing mph. Not good for me as I don't want to speed and get problems. .
Gary DThe side mirror wasn’t fixed properly, was damaged before I started the trip. The lower (wide angle) driver mirror also damaged- has huge cracks. I was charged for additional fuelling $21, but I refilled the tank to the higher level before returning
