Do not switch up/cancel equipment on your customers days before a huge cross country move that they have been planning for months. This is a horrible way to conduct business and I will not be recommending U-Haul to anyone looking for moving advice. To be clear, the staff at this location was very nice and helpful. The pick-up location was acceptable. The worker was kind and accommodating. Getting to this point was UNBEARABLY PAINFUL!! There was no 15' truck available even though I had a representative go through dispatch to make the request. Customer service required HOURS of being ignored on HOLD. I was told I would need to drive to an obscure location to pick up a truck. I flew in with no transportation to move my things. I had to solicit the assistant of a supervisor in order to get the truck I reserved. I was told there was no record of the updated transaction. What a NIGHTMARE!!! The truck was ok, but based on performance, it didn't seem like the brakes had been tended to in awhile.ESTHER W.

I made my original request reservation a month in advance for a 20' truck and dolly at the L St location. I received an email the day before my reservation saying that it had been moved to the 18th St location and a 26' truck. I was very upset that my reservation had been changed without my permission. I cannot understand why it was moved at all and without even asking the customer first. Very poor planning and customer service. The 18th St location was nice enough but I don't think I'll be using UHaul anytime soon.Katherine M.

When doing the mobile pickup I ran into a problem. It told me the pick up location had not taken pictures of the vehicle that I was picking up. So there wasn't an easy way to verify any previous damage or mileage or gas range for the start. I had to call and sit on hold for 20 minutes before I could talk to someone and verbally verify since the location itself was closed. I also have never had issues verifying my identity picking up a van with my ID on mobile and this time was asked to take pictures of it multiple times and then provide additional contact options. This all set my pickup time back by about 30 minutes so my scheduled pickup for 7 turned into 730. This is the only location I've run into these problems. I like having this option of pickup and drop off because it allows me to quickly pick up a vehicle when I need to and the store is closed. I'll continue to rent vehicles but this was just an overall poor experience this time.KEIRSTIN Y.
