Requiring customers to do what U-Haul personnel should do is taking advantage of the customer. If the drop-off location is closed the drop-off day should be extended free of charge. You can't rent anyway because there is no one there to do the renting. Also I was required to leave the trailer at a different location than the truck. That cost me the customer time and money for gas. That is taking an unfair advantage of the customer. It's your job to check people out and it's your job to check people in. If the customer has to do it, we ought to be reimbursed. Instead, if we leave it for the company to do the checking in whenever they reopen, we are told we will be charged.

Larry HMy reservation was elsewhere. When I arrived my trailer had a flat. They had no mechanic. They knew about the flat for over 24hrs but made no attempt to notify me or assist in finding alternate equipment. I was left to scramble to find another trailer on my own.
