Comment U-Haul Fonctionnement des avisI rented this truck to move my mother from California to Oregon. My brother’s flew down to the California location, and there was some confusion as the location on the original invoice the location had been changed. I had sent my brothers that information, but in the confusion of travel, they went to the wrong location. When they were informed the truck was at the Radio Road location, they took an Uber there as fast as they could. As they were arriving, the manager was locking the door to leave for lunch. Granted it was 118° on this day and they had just traveled on a flight and arrived not accustomed to this heat. The manager refused to let them in and without a car and luggage in hand, they were forced to stand in the heat until this manager returned from lunch. I am furious that he put both of my brother’s lives at risk. This man had no care that this temperature could give one or both of them heat stroke. By the time he returned, my brothers were irate and then the manager had the gall to give them attitude and almost refused to rent them the truck. I was furious when I discovered this as I have always used U-Haul for all my moves. You need to know this manager running this location was 100% out of line and put two people’s lives at risk by leaving them in deadly heat knowing they have no transportation with luggage in hand.
Michelle GDisappointing Experience with U-Haul. Not the location. My pick-up location was changed three times, with the final site more than 40 miles round trip from my original choice. The reservation time was also adjusted without notice, and the company couldn’t confirm the availability of the dollies I ordered. Later, U-Haul changed my drop-off location and added a $30 mileage overage at return. The overall process was inconvenient and poorly coordinated.
WILLIAM JWe had reserved a box truck earlier and given a pickup location in the Desert Hot Springs area only to find the truck at a liquor store which for us was very unusual, and the truck was inoperable. Fortunately this place on Radio Road was great.
Donald GI was very pleased with my experience with U-Haul. Everyone was polite and courteous.
