My U Haul experience with wasn't a good one. I called to reserve a truck. The representative that I spoke to over the phone stated that I would have the truck for 24 hours. When I go to pick the truck up the representative at the store tells me that I only can have the truck for 8 hours because it's the weekend and they are in demand for the trucks. I begin to let them know the 8 hours isn't going to work for me. The representative let me know that if the truck wasn't returned by a certain time that I would be charged an additional fee of $100. When U Haul knew they were in need of extra trucks they should've called me back to let me know so that I could've made different arrangements. I made arrangements with my movers according to the 24 hour period. We accomplished what was needed to be done but there was an extra expense that came along with it.

Hello U-Haul of Juniata/Feltonville I rented at the facility you manage yesterday. The equipment was fine, the site was clean and well-stocked from my observance, however, my customer experience was poor. Your employee (unnamed, no uniform jersey on, camouflage sweatshirt/hoodie instead) while not overtly rude, couldn't have had less enthusiasm if he tried. He looked at me once and the rest was talking to me while looking at the screen or elsewhere and speaking in a very matter of fact/I don't want to be here/like it or lump it way, that could easily be mistaken as if he had a beef with me. Picky, yes, but the only reason I remember and mention this is because of two things that also happened during this transaction. During the processing of the rental, your employee took out his personal smartphone, opened up his camera and was about to take a photo of my driver's license. I quickly asked him, "Please tell me what you are about to do BEFORE you do it". He then said he needed to take a picture of my license for the rental. I asked, "With your personal phone??" He then heaved a sigh and said he can send me a link to my phone to upload this myself. When I got the link I said "Hi Jeffrey, Please upload...." giving me the indication that this link was for me specifically. What madness is this that he would dare bypass me and take a pic of my license with his personal phone? Without so much as a word on what he was doing? As if this is a normal activity? Do you what how many rights of mine were just narrowly avoiding being violated? In this age of identity theft/data breaches and the lawsuits that follow for the criminals/companies who perpetrate I would think you would inform your customers of their choices before snatching them away. If it is your policy to inform your customers of their choices it didn't' happen this time. If it's not your policy....wow! Subsequently, I was informed I had a $10 insurance fee added to my bill. I asked if this was the one I declined on the website. I was told that It is because the truck was new and immediately asked. "Do you wish to continue with the rental?" Seems like I had no choice. Is this mandatory fee in writing somewhere? Again, if it is your policy to charge customers extra fees at the last minute then threaten the rental ....wow! I am sure your team can do better than this U-Haul. Please prove it to the next customer. Jeff Green

Customer service was poor. Workers we’re using curse words among themselves. They nick picked the cleaning of the van over dirty shoe prints. Overall very poor experience. Not to be used again

The truck I received was an older truck and it wasn't clean in the inside where the driver sits. It appeared there was a problem when you accelerate. You can feel a hesitation or pulling when accelerating/operating the truck; In addition, I have noticed that the workers seems to always provide me (women) older model trucks. I have been renting trucks for some time now, For the most part this has been my observation due to I have never received a newer truck. I have observed the newer trucks given to the men that have walked into U-haul establishment. Just being Honest!

I did not get my truck! I’m very upset!! When I went to pick up the equipment ALL THE DOORS TO THE TRUCK WAS LOCKED so I wasn’t able to get the key to the truck!! And they charged my card!! I run a business and this is a huge inconvenience for me and my clients. I will never rent a U-Haul truck again!!

*web based return system is flawed using a cellular phone. Was charged additional fees for the inability to upload the pics, but forwarded them via email to manager. No response from this uhaul location for follow - up. Follow up could improve. System is flawed or rigged but customer has to pay for it. Not cool.
