We booked a truck online at a more convenient location but upon arrival there was no vehicle that would support our need. For that reason we were sent further out and ended up having to pay for the experience. I felt disappointed that this happen and there was not further support provided.

Usually have good experience here. Today attempted to use no contact rental. When I arrived was told I had to go inside to compete rental. Rental agent first told me contactless required 24 hour notice. He said “you just made reservation an hour ago”. When I pointed out that website never mentioned that requirement he backtracked and said it has been “too busy” to put keys in box. I would point out that when I arrived one employee was just standing outside smoking so not sure how busy they really could have been. There are lots of uhaul franchises in the area. I’ll try one of those in the future. Don’t appreciate paying more for locations inability to follow proper polices.

very long wait time with 3 people in the store waiting and no one at the counter and no one seemed to know where they were or when they were coming back. Then 2 people came and started helping the customers but they were not wearing masks and all 3 of us customers were. When one of the Uhaul service persons coughed (into his sleeve) we, the customers felt very exposed. Have your people wear masks and protect them and your customers! This is a pandemic, read the science behind virus transmission.

I didn't even have to go inside as the friendly and helpful employee outside, directed me where to park and told me that my receipt would be mailed to me. I received the receipt later that day. Dropping off couldn't have been easier.

Uhaul needs to be providing safety materials and requiring their employees to wear masks and gloves and sanitize the interior of trucks that they touch with their bare hands. It's unacceptable right now to do anything less.

Normally I wouldn’t mind if the vehicle wasn’t immaculate but during a pandemic like this I was disappointed to see signs that it hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned since the last renter. There were food crumbs in the door pockets and grime around some of the major touch points like the radio buttons. The truck wouldn’t track straight on the highway without constant micro adjustments. It either needed an alignment or the tire pressures weren’t right. I was charged for two days even though I dropped it off within the 24hr window. This apparently was because whoever was accepting the return didn’t get around to it until a half hour after the window. (I was told I could leave the truck at the drop off and didn’t stick around for this). I had to call to get it reversed, which went smoothly it’s just annoying that I had to check the receipt and follow up. I also tried using the mobile truck pickup for the first time. This system needs some serious work. It gave me an error multiple times and no one came out after I clicked “I’m ready for the key.” I had to go inside and get in line anyways. What’s the point of this feature? I was hoping I could use it to distance myself from workers and pick up the vehicle like many of the Car2Go style vehicle shares around the city but no.

Never. Never never never. I was promised a 50 dollar dropoff incentive due to returning the truck to this location. I never received the credit. Then I contacted the customer service line, then truck share, then traffic, all of which informed me it had to be credited by the final location. When I called Columbia, I was told there was no credit, no notes in the account stating there was any credit, and he saw no reason to give me the promised credit. Understand, I did finally get the credit. After; telling me they weren't going to honor their word for over 25 minutes, the man claiming to be the branch manager, who had me almost to tears, finally "found" it in their system. It was a horrible experience, and one in a hundred or so times that made me wish anyone, literally ANYONE, other than this company, offered similar service and rates.

I ordered a dollie and a hand truck. Hand truck was in truck with a seal. We were billed for both and we had the truck for 2 days. There was no dollie but was charged $14. We did not need a dollie until our 2nd day we did not have it. I was going to call the uhaul store just so bussy one thing after another and the day was gone. It was my fault for not noticing we did not have it when we picked up truck and I should of stopped what I was doing and call the store. So I got stuck paying the $14. for the dollie. I consider my self fortunate I was not billed for not returning one just got billed for rental not replacement. I will do a better job paying attention. Thank you for not paying attention checking equipment back in.

My experience today was absolutely horrible. I likely won't use uhaul again. 1. Apparently I owed $70 from a ticket EIGHT YEARS AGO? A. I'm next to positive I paid this ticket at the time to the city, and didn't owe you this money. And B. even if I did owe this money, the fact you never bothered to even try to collect this from me or inform me of this, and waited until the day of my move to prevent me from using the mobile rental process while I'm outside AT the truck trying to get in -- and now I'm having to be juggled between departments on the phone for 40 minutes to get the info I need to pay this so I can.... 2. Try to now use the mobile check in process, but because it took me 40 minutes on the phone to pay you $70 from 8 years ago you never tried to collect until now, it's past my time frame for the rental so it won't verify my identity? I use the chat feature and send in multiple pictures of my drivers license to no avail. So I have to call again and they finally verify me, telling me "oh this just happens when it's past your rental time." Yeah I'm past my rental time, because I was just on the phone with you all for the last 40 damn minutes, so great, now I've been dealing with this for an hour and I can FINALLY get into the rental except.... 3. Now the key code for the Vans Gas Station uhaul lock box doesn't work. So I can't get my key. So I need to call again, and the re-route me to go to this location on Columbia much further from my house to pick up the rental, and now I need to deal with people face to face during the pandemic. Suffice it to say, the experience with the mobile check-in was abysmal, and while the folks on the phone were very helpful -- I really think you all need to re-think when you message people about past due amounts (like, you know, when I booked the rental days ago instead of when I go to start it the day of?)

U-Haul was dirty in the area above the cabin when receiving and we were double charged for our reusable shipping containers. The $39.95 charge turns out to be over $200 with fees. Never using U-Haul again and will warn my family and friends refrain from using as well.
