There is a woman there who is incredibly rude to customers and to her co-workers. She acted like we got on her nerves for just being there. And she berated one of her coworkers right in front of me. I didn't get her name, but she is a short black woman with tattoos on her arms. She is MEAN. I'm a black woman also, so this is not a racial comment just don't know her name. Upon arrival to Uhaul at 900 N Lombardy street, I spoke with the front desk gentleman who told me to drive the uhaul truck, trailer/car, forward to the unload area and someone will help me. We waited for approximately 10 minutes before someone asked if we needed help. Once we got my car unhooked and ready for unload from the trailer we realized the car would not come off of the trailer because the front bumper was catching on the trailer lip. I called the front desk gentleman (John I think) and he instructed me to call "Dani" the manager. Dani stated that they could not be responsible for any damages to my car, and she told me to drive the uhaul truck and trailer to the car dealership and they would have to take it off the trailer. I called my car dealership (Mercedes-Benz) and the Richmond VA dealer instructed me to call Mercedes roadside assistance. I called Mercedes roadside assistance, and they could not help. I then called Dani back and explained the situation to her. She did not offer any help to me. I called Uhaul roadside assistance and I was told that they could not be of any service because there was no malfunction to the trailer and there was not a wreck. Ultimately, my girlfriend and I were left to handle this situation on our own. We did not receive any assistance or help from Uhaul personnel, aside from one gentleman (Sammy). Sammy was extremely helpful, and did everything he could to help us get my car off of the Uhaul trailer. I spent approximately 2-3 total hours at this Uhaul dealership, which also made me late to me meet my movers who were unloading the truck (which I already paid for). It was very disheartening to us. We just moved to Richmond and I do not know anyone here, or have anyone who can help me. The customer service was abysmal at this location, and I was left to perform tasks that should have been handled by Uhaul management. I am deeply unnerved by how I was treated. I just arrived to a new city, I don't know anyone here, and my car was stuck on a Uhaul trailer. Me, my girlfriend, and Sammy finally got my car off of the trailer.Charles H.

Although the location was large & convenient, the truck that I rented was so outdated, very cumbersome to operate, and was pretty damaged on the outside. For the price of the rental, I would recommend uhaul look into upgrading their inventory!TASHAMOORE E.

Manager was brusque and unfriendly, and she was only person dealing with 8 or 9 pickups and answering the phone. I was told that if I was a minute late bringing it back there would be a $50 penalty. Other staff were more friendly and helpful. Van was not clean, tire pressure monitor was malfunctioning. I will never use this location again.Peter A.

Your app froze when trying to return the tow dolly last night and I had to wait on hold for quite awhile before someone helped. They were supposed to confirm the return photos I sent last night when the app didn't work and still haven't responded that they received them. I now have a receipt that says I returned it this morning which isn't true.Thomas W.
This is the first time that I had a van rented from this location which was not clean and the a/c and heater was not working. I only used it for in-town so it was not a major deal. The staff member Covel went over nd above to make certain that a rental Auto Transport ("AT") was available - the one that I had reserved had not been returned on time. An improvement can be made for the c Truck return process. When I was attempting to use the unqualified website/application to return the rental, the application would not recognize my location. I have an IOS phone, and the instructions provided to use the location finder were not accurate. I am not sure why uhaul would need to know the location on an app before a truck is returned? The truck is already associated/assigned to a location and if a customer takes it to another location it is no assigned to in the system should be an alert to the system to for additional charges. How do customers without cellphones complete an after hours drop at all with being charged extra!???TARIS TURRELL H.
The Lombardy location is my preferred site in the whole Richmond city area no matter what side of town I live on. I haven't had a problem with any experience over the years as a customer. Throughout changes the staff has been professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with. This recent experience was the same. ThxDOLORIS REGINA M.
