Comment U-Haul Fonctionnement des avisWhen I talked to U-Haul reps on the phone (several times) to "confirm" my return home reservation, or look for a location near me to pick up an auto tow dolly (to return home), they seem to not know U-Haul locations along my route to pick up a unit. This is after I've already reserved a unit near me to pick up, which is now no longer available. When trying to find another location that was open Sunday, they referred me to a store northeast of where I was, even though I was headed southeast. They also recommended another store not along my route. Bottom line is they don't seem to have a map of where I am, where my destination is and a listing of stores available to select from. It's a crap-shoot! Also, you have a policy where the customer needs to pick up the auto tow dolly with the vehicle that will be towing it. And, you won't budge from that policy. So, on Saturday, a day before I was scheduled to go home, while there were no stores within a reasonable distance to pick up an auto tow dolly on Sunday, I had to pack up my motorhome on Saturday and go pick up an auto tow dolly. I had to disrupt my campsite and family, pull out the motorhome and be gone for over two hours. There is no way I was going to go home without putting the tow dolly on the back of my Class A motorhome and then put my van on the tow dolly. Yet, your policy would not allow me to pick up the tow dolly with my van. So, when I got back to my campsite with the tow dolly, I removed it from my motorhome, put the motorhome back in the spot it was originally located, opened up the slide-outs and tried to enjoy the rest of my vacation until the following day, when I re-attached the tow dolly to my motorhome, then hooked up my van and drove home. What an inconvenience! You're worried about liability but there is no way, when I'm 240 miles from home that I'm going to do ANYTHING with the auto tow dolly other than hook it up to my Class A motorhome and then put my van on it! Stupid!

James MThis place appeared to be a one man auto repair shop. The employee was working out in the garage so I had to walk out into the garage to find the guy. Once I found the employee, he was very helpful and took care of me right away.
