I picked up my truck on Sunday. I received a call on Wednesday morning. "We gave you the wrong truck." We had nothing to do with it. The person who checked out the truck gave me the wrong truck, apparently.WILLIAM C.
Passenger side mirror was cracked so much that I couldn't see out of it very well. Also, it was tipped down and wasn't able to be adjusted so that I had a good view for passing. The transmission slipped or something. Could not go into a gear that enabled me to go faster than 75 mph with pedal down all the way. Very hard to pass vehicles and get up hills.Jacki A.
Absolutely the worst moving experience you can imagine. Reserved a 26' truck well ahead of the moving date. We needed a 26' truck to move our 4 bedroom home across the state. The night before our 7:30am pickup time an extremely rude woman called and said the 26' ft truck was not returned and would not be available. They had a 20' truck if I wanted that. I did not want the 20' truck as I did not receive the 20' truck. When I asked if there was a 26' truck anywhere within an hour or hour and a half of my location, this lady made an audible frustrated sigh, said no and asked if I could move my reservation date back. Of course we could not. When I said that she asked if I wanted to cancel the reservation. I had to get the 20' truck due to it being the only available truck left and we had to move. Of course we couldn't fit everything in the truck, so I had to make another round trip across the entire state of Missouri the following day. 400 additional miles and 10 hours of driving and loading. We discussed this with the Uhaul call center a number of times and they assured us there would be some sort of compensation or refund provided by the store once we returned the truck. Of course there wasn't. The man at the store kept repeating that, "I knew that I was getting a 20' truck and I took the 20' truck and there was nothing he could do to try and make it right." Even after saying I spent an additional $215 in gas and 10 hours more of my time. Nothing Uhaul can do - it was my problem. Absolutely choose any other company besides Uhaul if you want to receive the truck you reserve for moving and if you want any sort of reasonable customer service. If you count on Uhaul for your move be ready for last minute changes, unfriendly and unaccommodating employees. The only positive thing I can say is the truck was clean. Stay away from Uhaul period.connor N.

The trailer we got had an issue that caused us to have a roadside emergency. The repair man said he could tell the trailer had been having issues for a while prior to the breakdown, so the situation could have been prevented. Also, we had a stop due to someone else using my phone number to rent a uhaul.Allison R.
The online experience was difficult in terms of choosing a return location. The local U City office, however, quickly corrected this problem on check-in. It was also very helpful that UHaul provided the option to hire helpers. Right Movers was excellent.Suzanne P.

I went there to get a uhaul truck only for the manager to tell me that they were completely sold out and to go somewhere else. But when I ordered online (10 minutes after he told me that) it somehow took us to the same location. When I asked why they blatantly lied to us, after receiving the keys to the truck, about having no trucks available. They said they didn't want to take the chance of not having the truck back at 7am. But that was never an issue with us when we only needed it for a few hours and we were 2 mins away from this uhaul. We brought it back wayyy sooner than 7 am. It would of been better if they didn't blatantly lie to their customers and if they had wayyy better customer service (because neither of them did). I never want to do business with a company that lies to to their customers and I would never recommend this location to anyone.DE'MARCO P.

The gentleman who assisted us rattled off information and instructions so fast I couldn't understand him. There were other customers waiting, but speaking so fast took more time as it took longer for me to figure out what he was saying.Donna F.
There was some issue with the U-Haul truck share app. It would not let me pick up my truck after hours at 9 pm. I had already paid. It was very frustrating as I had movers lined up in Chicago at 9 am. So there was no way for me to get there now. I tried calling your 800 number that night but it was in a continuous loop saying your hold time is 20 to 30 min. With no updates as to how you are 12 th in line, etc. after nearly an hour I hung up! Then I got a email my reservation was cancelled. Panic set in. The store didn't open until 9am. So I started looking for someone else to assist in Chicago and here inSo I called the 800 number at 7 am and did finally get thru after 46 min. She said the truck had. It been returned so that is why the system didn't work. This is ridiculous!! Your system should st least say, we are sorry but the truck we reserved for you was mot returned. Crumbs are better then nothing! I went to the store and got there before they opened. A man was cleaning out a truck near the entrance and said we go mot open until 9. Which it was about 15 till. Sorry be with you soon etc. so I told him I had already waited since last night, made arrangements to be dropped off to pick it up, made arrangements for movers to meet me at 9 am in Chicago, made arrangements with friends to help unload when I got back and ALL this because my truck was mot returned and I was not notified. He said that's not true. â€œI am the one that got it ready it was here.â€ No apologies. To say this experience was awful is an understatement!JACQUE P.
