From what I understand, the owner of this location shows to implement a policy where one has to have a second point of contact for renting any vehicle. Not only does the customer have to provide a second number, but they have to call and verify that person before they are allowed to give you your rental. I rent a truck about once a week, and today I was stuck in line for about 30 minutes because there were two registers open, and both customers could not get a 2nd contact to answer the phone.

The requirement of a second phone number, along with the requirement of talking to a person at the number to confirm it, is too much. This surprise requirement unnecessarily delayed my move, confused my relative, and came very close to losing my business. The associate who helped me however, was very kind and professional.

The truck that I picked up had profanity written in the back of the truck in sharpie. The back of the truck also had clothing and garbage in the back. The cab smelled of smoke and the ashtray had 20 cigarette butts in it. The spots behind both seats also had dirty paper towels, napkins, and food garbage. Truck hadn't been cleaned or checked. There was no walkthrough. They handed me keys and left.

Not put storage locks on your trucks, and actually listen to the customer when they tell you what day you want to return the truck.

Improve wait times - long waits while single desk person handled indecisive customers or took reservations over the phone. Computer issues with incorrect pricing and didn't like multiple photos of personal information (i.e. drivers license). Phone verification of second person is also invasive - why does uhaul need to not only have a third-party name and number on file, but need to call the number if they have my drivers license, credit card, etc.? I've never had a rental company require so much for a simple trailer. Some of the staff showed little thought about how to conduct themselves in front of customers or seemed ignorant or trivial about some of the questions I had on towing. However, none of the staff were rude, deliberately unhelpful, or had a bad attitude, it just seemed more of a gap in training/awareness and too casual/unprofessional. On the plus side, there were one or two minor issues that the staff did correct and were trying to do the best they could. Also, the location obviously has a large selection of equipment and supplies with generous hours. Unfortunately, the overall experience fell far short of my expectations for a typical business.

The pickup truck I rented was dirty on the outside. Interesting how the advertised price of $19.99 turns into me buying $7.00 in gas & $44.67 for 4 hours. I trusted your advertising & didn’t take the time to research. I will now. Cameron was great, double check everything &explained the process very well.

I was double billed for a truck and no one is able to help me figure it out. I have to wait until Monday to deal with it with a manager. The guy was able to see that I was billed under 2 invoices but kept questioning how long I had the truck and if I rented 2. Needless to say I’m not very happy with the billing but the girl in the office who rented to me was very nice. And if I for some reason cannot get the billing right I will be extremely unhappy with this being the first time I’ve ever used a U-Haul.

THE STORAGE MANAGER WAS VERY PLEASANT AND VERY KNOWLEDGABLE. SHE HAD ME SET UP WITH STORAGE WITHIN 15 MINUTES. THE STAFF CHECKED IN THE TRUCK WITH NO PROBLEMS OR SURPRISES, CONSIDERING ALL THE WORK BEING DONE IN THE PARKING AREA THEY DIDNT LET IT FAZE THEM, GREAT JOB!!!!!

I rented a truck from UHAUL at 6201 White Lane (Bakersfield). The truck I was given was old, and had damage throughout the truck, including numerous dents, a torn drivers seat, a damaged windsheild wiper (torn rubber scratching windshield). Even though I reserved the truck online days in advance, it took approximately 30 minutes to "process" me. It took 15 minutes just to log all of the damage during the walkaround. What is the point of going online, entering all the information, and making the reservation and then having to answer and provide all of the same information again during the pick up process? What a waste of customer's time. Very inefficient process. In addition, I was charged for the dolly and blankets when in fact I did not even use either of those items. I called the location from where I rented and returned the truck serverall times to resolve this, butI was placed on hold and hung up on twice. And the 3rd time I was told she was not able to help me, that the manager Christina would call me back. The manager Christina never called me back. Please credit my card with the correct amount. And please streamline the process. You don't need an online and in-person process that are duplicate processes.

Shorter wait times for reservation costumers. Should not take 30 minutes to pickup and drop off when you’re the first appointment on a Sunday morning. Unacceptable. Would never recommend this site to anyone. Very disappointing.
