This was not a pleasant U haul transaction. Poor communication from the dispatch center. The truck and Auto-transport had to be picked up at 2 different locations. The side mirrors were locked into position and they did not include the tool needed to adjust the mirrors. Vehicle was not cleaned/ properly sanitized ( found cigarette packets on the dash) Older Vehicle which was loud, bumpy and offered poor fuel economy. Sub-par instructions on how to properly secure my vehicle to the auto transport ( Thank God for YouTube). Vehicle straps came undone twice. No service at the U haul facility. Employee was using her personal phone to enter my credit card information. I filed a complaint, It took them over a week to follow up ( They didn't follow up, I had to call back). Resolved it by offering a $150 refund. I think I'll go with Penske in the future.
The Bolingbrook location was fine. The overall experience was not good. My reservation was confirmed twice and despite that the place I reserved at not only didn't setup my pick-up, but it was changed to another place that also didn't set-up my pick-up. I wasn't notified about any of the changes, so I went to the first place because I believed that was my pick-up place. I had to call UHaul, and the lady was nice but kept avoiding the issue of being changed and not notified, as well as not nothing that I did everything correctly with my reservation and somehow UHaul or one of their vendors (2 of them, actually) messed up.. While my per mile rate was reduced z it was not a satisfying resolution. My pick-up trip took roughly 1,5 hours when it should have taken 15-20 minutes. Overall this was a bad experience.

My problems came before I picked up the truck. I reserved the truck at one location but was moved to a location 40 minutes out of my way...each way. My attempts to contact your company were frustrating and fruitless. I was on hold for 48 minutes, then referred to a number that was not accepting calls. Emails, when they went through, weren't answered until the next day and then only with meaningless platitudes that made no attempt to address my problem. If I was not stuck out of town with no alternative I would have cancelled. It was the worst "customer service" experience I have ever had. I am stunned that a company as big as yours and who has been doing business as long as you have provides such fundamentally poor service.
I would NEVER recommend the 24/7 app to anyone. I requested located #1 for pickup and got a call early in the day to go to another pickup location. When I arrived at pickup location #2 at my pickup time, I got a call that the location overbooked vans and I had to drive 25 minutes east to another location. When I arrived at location #3, the app had be go through "approval" and requested documents I was not previously told to bring. When I got the combination to the key lock box after standing in the heat for twenty minutes waiting to be approved, the lockbox was EMPTY. I called customer service for help and perhaps to get the second van on the lot. I was directed to LOCATION #4 which was 25 minutes back west (5 minutes from Location #2). The customer service rep was very apologetic and not to blame. She canceled the 24/7 app request and directed me to an in-person service which would have been preferred from the start. After our reservation pickup location was pushed to FOUR DIFFERENT LOCATIONS 90 MINUTES AFTER THE REQUESTED PICKUP TIME, we finally got to this UHaul location where I had no problems. I'm very disappointed in the process. I wasted two hours of my evening hunting down an available truck. That's not how to run a business. I'll be reserving vehicles with a different company in the future.

Simple, easy, and clear drop off. Took 5 mins. Excellent.
Fast, friendly service
I was extremely disappointed. The morning of the move. While I was on my way to pick up the U-Haul, I get an email saying my reservation was cancelled. I have to spend 45 minutes on the phone getting passed around from customer service rep to customer service rep before finally a manager can reserve a truck I order at another location. I get there, get my truck, still pay full price for everything without a hassle even though my move has now been pushed back a couple hours. If I ever have to move again, I would prefer to move one item at a time before using U-Haul again.
Parking a truck in a back alley makes it hard to find. Please consider parking all trucks in one place if you're going to offer 24/7 rentals.
Keith the manager was excellent. Not only was he true to his word on a promised discount, but he even followed up multiple times to make sure the debt was honored. The equipment worked well and was neat and tidy. I highly recommend this location and I will be back!

Uhaul truck tires all under inflated by 10-15 Psi. Tire pressure inflator didn't work
Not much to comment on. Only one person was working and he was with a customer for a while. Finally told me I could just drop my trailer and leave.
Super helpful people, in and out quickly. The 5 x 9 trailer is awesome. Carried 12 foot lumber and 10 foot pipe with no problem, sticking safely out the front, as trailer has a super long tongue.. Used the trailer and some boards as a workbench all weekend. Price was great too. 6 stars! Thanks.
The truck should have been washed. The windshield was covered with dead bugs making it difficult to see.

The drivers mirror was fit affixed. It continuously turned to the far outside making it impossible to see vehicles in next lane. This was a major safety hazard. When I reported it upon return the attendant verified it but did not offer apologies. All safety features must be checked prior to renting.
Friendly knowledgeable staff. Equipment was in good repair and ready to go.
Need to fix Google Maps. It didn't give up the correct directions. It took us to the uhaul on the frontage road north of Cass Avenue. We knew it was not right because we are from the area.
