We filled the gas tank to the 7/8 full mark but, she said that we owed $8.00 more dollars. We paid and then she said that we owed 8cents more. We had to wait because the computer wouldn't except the 8c. We had just been in a roll over accident and were just overwhelmed and we had to stand around while she tried several times to make it go through.

I had tried booking a 10ft truck for an item haul 4 days before a 150mi move, and the listed price was $66. When I tried booking the unit, it kept giving me an error and bounced me between locations that had availability, but still wouldn't let me confirm. It took all the way until the day before that it finally worked, and the price went up to $144 (it's like I was forced to wait until the last minute for this price hike). I then booked a 10ft and received confirmation to pick it up at one location. I received a text from a different location saying basically 'if that one does not work out, we have a 15ft for you, just text us'. I drive to the location listed in my email - no one opens the gate or answers the phone. I check my email again, and there are 2 locations listed for confirmations, and that the 10ft was actually at a different location. I drive to the other location, wait until the agent is done with his phone call, just to be told they don't actually have a 10ft and that I have to go back to the other location for the truck. He calls and verifies someone is there, who apologized for missing the call. I drive back AGAIN to the original place just to be told 'we don't have a 10ft, only a 15ft' - all of this fiasco cost me an 1.5hrs on a time-sensitive ordeal, and cost me double what it was going to originally. This was the worst U-Haul experience I've ever had.

The truck was boarder line unsafe. The front end needed an alignment, and at least tie rods. It wouldnt drive straight at all. The transmission would not shift without letting off the gas. The truck was clean though.

The experience was horrible. I wanted to rent a passenger van or pick up to move a piece of furniture to only find it once it was reserved and I showed up to rent it I couldn't because they wanted a major credit card. Then they originally said that they had nothing for me and that I would have to go to another place to rent. Then they said ok just take the 10ft box but charged the wrong amount for the gas. It could not be corrected until I returned the vehicle. So I had to sign off on that. This experience was extremely frustrating and I will not return to this particular store. I did the express check out and still had to wait an hour because of all the other problems. Had I know that I was going to go through all of this I would not have rented from uhaul at all. Not a happy customer at all.

THIS LOCATION WAS EXCELLENT! I WOULD WARN ANYONE ATTEMPTING TO USE RYAN MACKLAND IN INVERNESS TO AVOID IT. THEY ARE TERRIBLE. I HOPE UHAUL INVESTIGATES THEIR PRACTICES. CLOSED SAT. SUN. MON.

When arriving at my destination I pulled into a UHaul place and they said they could remove the transports but they didn't have room to store them. They recommended I go 1 mile down the road and have them take care of it. They said if the other property needed help removing the transports that they would come help. Patricia met me at the front, she was irate/overwhelmed. Said she was a very busy property and didn't have time for this. She called the two men from the other property and did not get an answer. I called too and got the call center. They couldn't get an answer either and sent them a message (by text or computer I assume). She gave them my number and they never did call. Patricia had us pull thru the gate because we were blocking access to her storage units and later tried to remove the transports. She and my son were able to do it. She then said that I could leave the loaded trucks there until the next morning when we closed on our house and she also allowed us to return the trucks to her location the next day. The girl at the desk the next day was also frustrated but became more courteous as she completed the returns. Honestly I felt like I was intruding on them and putting them at an inconvenience. I would not return to this location. I spent a lot of $$ on equipment and felt like I was putting the UHaul employees out at both locations.
