Make sure the truck has working tires and are work properly
I rented a trailer for just 1 hour and I already denied all insurance on the website. When I went to pick it up they added the insurance and told me it was tax. When I got the email invoice it said insurance. Before adding insurance, you should ask.
Had a rental agreement it was canceled by the 800 haul the last minute since they did not have equipment and I was sent somewhere else in a different state to pick up the equipment that I used and charge more and then The original reservation. I call to explain the situation and I have to wait for somebody to call me back you don't take care of this right away? Says a lot for your customer service and honesty. I payed tolls I was aggravated and all I was trying to do was to move was because my mother died and I needed to take care of my father and this is what I get from U-Haul in a time of crisis. your companies definitely going to be like Sears and some of the other companies that are older and go under with this type of behavior shame on U-Haul and everybody that works there that allows this switch and bait. I've disputed the charge I will not play these games with any company.
So, I called prior to arriving to make sure truck was ready. The person checked it and called me back to say it was. When arriving, the person didn't know how to use the computer system and made a change that raised the rate by 300 dollars. It took forever to fix it and as I was ready to finally leave, it turns out it was the wrong truck and we had to start from scratch and check that one. This delay cost me a lot because I had movers standing by on the start of the move and had to get an additional hotel room on the other end.
The service was great there is nothing to improve I will definitely recommend them to my Family & Friends...
Uhaul charges are a little to high for me. The $19.95 that's advertised , I feel like is a way to get customers . Than customer walk in to find out it's more than what is advertised. Plus mileage cost is high! During a pandemic I think there should of been some type of discount or lower rates.
Inspect the hauls before renting them out.
Friendly customer service, knowledgeable of product, clean new vehicle, and easy transaction. I'll definitely do business with Scott's again if I'm in need of another moving vehicle.

Wish they would have had better information regarding drop off locations! It wasn't as easy as expected. Took over an hour to find one that would take that size truck!
Your phone pickup is not up to par..took me n hour to finally get the truck set my whole day back.wont use it again .
My rental experience was great!
Return early and still paid more not my fault I had to travel more miles to get to it and drop it off that is so not fair! This is a rip off!
Make sure the 24/7 pick up is working
The personnel is great. The trucks are old and usually damaged.
I enjoyed the staff and their on site process. The overall U-Haul experience sucked. The web reservation at a different site wasn't ready, the U-Haul customer experience folks were not helpful, I had to pay the extra miles to get a truck from 30 miles farther away than scheduled, and the web check in requirement was not made clear. I didn't get the equipment originally requested and paid extra for this travesty of a company.
It took an hour to fill put papereork because the only person at the location who handeled uhaul took the day off. I had to hook it up myself and the lights didnt work. I hooked thw tow dolly to three different vehicles to be certain.
I returned the equipment June 20th 2018 at 1:25pm and this location didn't check it in until June 21st which charged me for another day that I did not have the equipment. I asked the representative before leaving why I did not receive documents confirming that I returned the equipment, she stated that she needed to call U-Haul and I would receive. On top of that, I was forced to unmount the trailer myself and push it where they keep the other trailers because they would not assist. I had to call customer service twice to get this straightened out. I will be filing a complaint regarding my experience and for the fact that I was charged for an additional day that I did not have the equipment.
COMMENTS ARE: 1. The truck had no gas when I picked it up. I almost drove 3 miles before realizing. I could have run out of gas on the highway. 2. The mileage rate is very high, I did not realize the savings I selected you for.
