Absolutely the most horrible experience of my life. I booked a 15 foot van a MONTH in advance. I uber all the way to the pickup spot and the app says it's not available. So I call U-Haul, spend forever on hold, finally for a lady to pick up and say they don't have any 15 foot vans at this site. So she re-books me for another site. This site is 4 miles away. So I spend more money on another expensive uber to this other site. This other site is in such an insanely dangerous part of town I cannot believe there is even a U-Haul pickup site here. There are drug deals happening before my eyes, broken cars everywhere, shirtless men staring menacingly at me, random stray dogs running around. I'm terrified. So I desperately try to call yet ANOTHER uber to get out of there, then call U-Haul again. I wait on hold again. Finally they answer, and they are being difficult and asking why I left. Then they say they can send me back to the original location to get a 10 foot van instead. So I uber all the way back to the original location and they say they actually have NO vans available there at all. So this is my 3rd location at this point, after risking my life at an unbelievably unsafe location and dropping tons of money on Ubers. And THEN they have the nerve to ask if they can send me to ANOTHER location. At this point I'm done. You've ruined my entire plans of moving and wasted my time and money. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

I had a bad experience didn’t get the right size U-Haul plus, there was know dolly and the truck wasn’t In good running condition. It was a big inconvenience financially and emotionally this caused a huge uproar within my household.
Bobby AUnsafe neighborhood. No office space, Trucks parallel parked on both sides of side street, Trailers parked on little strip between sidewalk and alley. Alley had Garage door opened and people with a Pit-Bull Dog right there. Tons of empty vodka and beer bottles all over the ground around Trailers. Trailer lights wiring was cut. We used my tool that I happen to have to fix it up. Also used my Duct tape for this. Business Owner was nice and fine, but overall - got to believe that many customers would be afraid to use this site.

Carl CI reserved my truck from my local UHaul on Broadway in Chicago. It was confirmed. Then I got a call telling me I had to go to South Chicago meanine another person to drive me. It was a place on the street and a guy in a pickup. He told me I had to have it back to the drop off in 24 hours. Not true I had an extra day. So I bought an extra day which I didn't need. I then had to park it somewhere safe. There was not an office and the rental was made on his phone. It was a dangerous neighborhood. This required more miles since I was 20 miles from my original pickup location. The drop off person was nice and helpful not charging me for all of the extra miles.
