The employees who assisted me this morning at 1700 N Cicero were incredibly helpful and kind. I was having trouble with the UHaul website and retrieving my rental via smartphone, so they helped me by confirming my rental in store instead. I'm disappointed in the failure of the online reservation and difficulty with your website, but the customer service to correct the problem was excellent. The condition of the vehicle was also a minor disappointment, as it had a pungent unpleasant smell and was covered in dirt and animal hair. Overall I'm relatively satisfied with my experience today (better than most other UHaul locations I've used), but hopefully the website is improved before the next time I need to rent a vehicle.VALERIE L.

The gas tank was empty, the left mirror was so dirty I couldn't use it, and it was one of the worst customer service reps I've dealt with. Not to mention I was sent to one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Chicago, when I live within 5 minutes of multiple locations.John F.
Scheduled a time for the pick up. Could not get the truck. The truck and equipment where not ready. Had to remind the employee to get the equipment. Took an hour of my time. The gas tank amount was incorrect. Did not t use or open the moving mats but am still getting charged for them. There should be some sort of discount here. The staff was not very helpful when I needed assistance moving 12 reusable bins from my car into the store. The bins were disgusting inside & needed to be cleaned before use. This location is trying to scam me. On Saturday March 27th, 2021 I was given the keys and told to walk across the street and pick up my cargo van. When I opened it up from the back, not only did it smell, it had some trash inside. That wasn't a big deal because I can toss the trash before bringing it back. The issue was after picking up my couch and sofa and putting more than required of gas back in the vehicle, I took it back. I pulled up and ask was there anything I needed to do, the employee types some numbers into a handheld device and gives me the thumb up saying I was good. I asked about the receipt, he told me it will be emailed to me. Fine! The next day in addition to the $57. charge, they bill me for $1,103. So, I thought it was a mistake and I called in and asked about it, the customer service connected me to the General Manager Tramell Harris and he started saying that I broke the hinge on the side door. I told him that you may have the wrong person because I picked up two items, a couch and a sofa that was pushed in from the back of the van. He insist that I was the last person with the vehicle and that it was my fault. We got into a shouting match and I told him I was calling corporate. He repeated Call Corporate! Call Corporate! Then my girlfriend grabbed the phone and tried talking to him and he over talked her and cut her off which was very very unprofessional. I called Corporate 3 times since this incident and I'm waiting on someone to call me back. Very unprofessional! No walk through before or after, no checklist of damages?? They just billed my credit card over $1,103. for something I didn't even know was an issue. That's not going to happen! I'll pay for my usage of the vehicle because thats fair, but I will not pay for something they claim I broke. How am I suppose to know what issues the vehicle has? I didn't get into any accidents and I brought the vehicle back within 3 hours. I won't be scammed today! I'm very upset and I demand an apology for such false accusations.CLEOPHUS J.

This location and regional manager Alfonso saved the day when U-Haul failed to have or follow through on our one-way reservation and confirmation that had been made several weeks ago! Word of caution, if you are doing a one-way trip make certain you get a confirmation! We checked several times were told we were all set and then had significant issues the day of our rental!
