I had to extend a reservation due to an emergency and called U-Haul to extend the reservation. This may have caused the location some inconvenience as all the other reservations for the truck For that week needed to be accommodated. The store manager Barry was clearly upset due to this change but was not rude and very nice. If I had known about this process, I would have contacted the location first before extending the reservation. It was not my intention to be an inconvenience for anyone. 5 star for Barry and the rental location.

The person completing the transaction was taking what sounded like a personal call at the time and gave very little attention. I needed to back the truck out of a spot on the side of the mechanic shop and navigate around other cars in the lot. It was do-able but not up to the level of customer care I usually experience with U-haul.

My dissatisfaction was with Uhaul to assume I would want to rent a truck 13 miles from the location closest to my home. I feel this is an effort to overcharge customers. I was charged for 30 miles @ $1.39 per mi. I only used 4 miles for my move, the other 26 miles was for picking up and returning the vehicle. This is outrageous, particularly since I reserved in advance. The customer service rep who secured my reservation NEVER mentioned that there was even a possibility of picking up the rental outside of my zip code.I I would never have agreed to go 13 miles away ! This was inconsiderate and a mechanism for overcharging the customer.

I did not want CDW coverage when I made the reservation, yet I was charged this fee. No parking available for my vehicle, had to walk two blocks to and from, upon return, had to walk in the rain.

I usually rent from eagles in newbridge in east meadow, ny; but this location is the only one that have the size needed, Jeff helped me out and was very pleaseant; the only thing i would change is the payment flexibility, booking with a card and then decide to pay with a different one, i preffered to pay with cash but that wasnt available either; you must use the same card you booked it with! Other than that a very good experience.
