Unfortunately our truck was very dirty when we picked it up. We had to sweep it twice before loading up because otherwise our things would have gotten covered in dust. Also, the instructions to pick up the keys and pick up the truck was confusing because the instructions provided in the confirmation email was different than what we were told at both the Elmwood Park and Saddle Brook locations by Uhaul staff. Finally, when we went to the Exxon to pick up our truck, we needed to wait until the employee who knew the process arrived—and she got there an hour after we scheduled the pick up. This all made our already stressful move even more complicated. However, the employee from Exxon (Maria) was the most helpful out of the entire experience. In the future, I don’t know if I would recommend this Uhaul location for a truck rental to a friend.
Andrea PBIG PROBLEMS!!! When we arrived to get the truck, you issued us a truck that didn't start. We went back into the store and the man told us that he didn't have his cell phone and couldn't call his manager. We were trying to resolve this and he would not help us! Every time a customer came in, he took care of them instead of us. After some time, he just gave us the key to another truck, which I couldn’t upload the information but finally we just took the truck because we had loaders coming in a short time. When I called U-Haul, I was put on hold for a long time and finally gave up. That was an unacceptable experience! We are VERY unhappy with U-Haul.
barbara cIt was a little confusing as to where to drop the truck, but once I figured that out, it was great!
MARGARET LThey never told me I had to bring the truck to the original location. They charged me 250 to deliver near my house.
