I walked into the market to find the desk to drop off the keys and a guy comes up to me and reaches out his hand. "I'll take that." He had no name badge and was not wearing anything to give me any indication that he worked there, but since the cashier person a few feet away said nothing, I said, "Uh, ok." He said, "I'll take care of the rest, close out the paper work," and that there was nothing I needed to do. He was very friendly and courteous, and I'm sure thought he was providing me with great customer service. Had it been obvious that he worked there rather than being some random, opportunistic customer, it would have felt that way. But it wasn't obvious, so I left crossing my fingers that he was who he said he was. I had no particular reason to doubt it, but nor did I have any kind of assurance that he was.

I think the limited selection available at this location, as well as the odd hoops needed to jump through to get through the rental process, were uniquely difficult. I appreciated Dean inn the process, but for my next rental I will be going to a dedicated UHaul store.

George SThe homeless people in the parking lot was startling. I had to walk past them to get the truck. I spent $3000 on the uhaul and was not allowed to use the bathroom there. I then trekked through a sketchy part of town looking for a restroom to use. The employee did not check the straps on the tow dolly and I later had to get roadside assistance when I went to load my car.
