Make clear to the customer the crucial policies in the contract. For example, what happen when the truck is returned after the rental period. When I rent a car in other companies, they always make a quick review about critical points. In that way, the client can be more aware about possible problems. When I picked up the truck, I was only reminded to return it with full tank gas. I was never reminded about other typical issues. I am upset to be double charged for about 40 min delay.Thiago M.

Ordered 3 dollys, only received 1. Worker REFUSED to give us the other 2 dollys that were listed on our contract. She charged us for THREE. Refused to give refund. She also changed the name on the reservation. I will be filing against her.Mark D.
I worked with a representative Abigail. When I went to pick up the truck I thought she was being thorough and didn't realize until it was time to drop off how much information was left off of the reservation description. I was advised at the time of pick up that moving out of town to Orlando Florida I would not be able to drop off the U-Haul at a personal mini storage that is 1 mile up the street from my new location I didn't bother to push the issue further and adhered to the guidelines she set. She advised that my brother would be able to return the truck to the personal Mini storage drop the keys through the slot and we, the renters, would be able to fill out the drop off form on U-Haul.com/share. She only said to visit the site once the U-Haul is returned upload your photos and make sure to take a picture of the odometer and fuel gauge. The night it was returned we log into the site and see that we actually have to physically be at the location and share our location to be able to upload the photos. We drove back to Gainesville the next day and went to the personal Mini storage location and shared our location only for the site to request that photos to be taken live from the phone with the truck running for accuracy. The key was already inside the office at that point so I sent an email with time stamped photos to rectify the situation. Abigail showed no empathy or understanding or willingness to help. She brushed me off and insulted my intelligence by stating comments like â€œIf you couldn't read the contractâ€œ or â€œif you really had trouble understanding what I explainedâ€. I was not being argumentative I was simply asking for a way to dispute or correct the additional charges but she continue to speak to me as though she needed to defend herself and made it clear that if her manager asked what happened she would restate what she was telling me on the phone which was one-sided, rude, and an incomplete representation of the interaction. Overall to improve customer service for the next consumer there needs to be clear guidelines that advise of more than â€œgo to the websiteâ€ because with those being the only directions you will not go to the website until it is time to turn in the truck when you realize that there are much more steps that cost you $50 or more in charges to us that are unnecessary after a very expensive move. There should also be a clear chain of command so that if a representative is being rude and demeaning you are able to speak with someone who will treat you with proper care and respect as someone who just paid your company $300.CHAUNCE B.
